**Goal: Lose Weight**
A few days ago I read [7 Things I Did to Reboot My Life](https://medium.com/@wilw/7-things-i-did-to-reboot-my-life-a4bab2d409e#.jwgx3nla0) by Wil Wheaton and I felt inspired to make
a change in my life. I have been about twenty pounds overweight for many years, and it is starting to have adverse effects on my health, so my goal is to shed those pounds.
I got an iPhone 6s Plus about a month ago, and according the the Health app, I already walk over 10,000 steps daily (on average -- I am a slug on weekends) and almost 4 miles daily.
This is no surprise: I walk the equivalent of 2/3 the width of Manhattan just as part of my daily work commute, and I walk in the middle of day to get away from the computer. Plus I
dance vigorously twice a week, and this activity is not logged on my phone.
So really, I just need to eat less. I downloaded MyFitnessPal yesterday, and started logging my meals. I'm not going to be obsessive and weigh my food. The goal is basically to eat
_less_, to be able to tolerate hunger (and all it means) without feeling like I am going to die or get really irritable.
