Full Moon in Aquarius - July 29, 2007
As individuals, we desire recognition. We are each unique, and want to shine in our own way. However, as performers, we require an audience. Without one, we may feel we do not exist, like the narcissist who breaks down if there's no one there to reflect her image back to herself. It is developmentally necessary to be seen when you are a child, to have your mother convey -- through her words, tone of voice and facial expressions -- that you are the most special person in the world. If you integrate this message well enough, you can survive adulthood, when, invariably, you often feel invisible or unacknowledged.
Unfortunately, few of us absorb our mother's message 100%, because mothers are imperfect (or because we've got a nasty Saturn-Moon square in our horoscopes). Those moments when we crave recognition and don't get it can lead to all manner of reactions, ranging from temper tantrums to indulgence in fantasies about being loved and adored.
Unless we feel confident in our soul purpose, we yearn for validation. And even if we know we're on the right path, it feels good to be applauded, for this reassurance keeps us going when the going gets rough.
An antidote to reactivity is to not take the lack of an appreciative audience personally. We're all pretty self-centered. I've heard numerous times that you shouldn't worry too much about how you're going to appear to others, because most people are too obsessed with themselves to notice you. In other words, we need detachment to divest ourselves from our incessant need for ego-stroking. Detachment doesn't mean "I don't care." Rather, it means having a sense of perspective, when we can observe ourselves and witness our longing for approval. From this contemplative standpoint, we can notice our inner divas but not feel compelled to meet her demands.
The Fine Print: The Moon at 6 Aquarius opposes the Sun at 6 Leo. If you have planets or angles around 6 degrees of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), this Full Moon will resonate in some cosmic way with your life circumstances.

My Sun in Leo is at 8 degrees and something!!
Eme Kah, the full moon will be falling in your 8th house of SEX.
Ah, this one hit a sensitive nerve today! This one is happening at my 7 degree Ascendant in Leo. It's ironic that just this week I've been a bit frustrated because I've been auditioning pretty regularly for the last month. I've been wanting SOME kind of feedback, instead of just having producers and casting directors glancing down and simply saying "thank you" as you walk out...after so much preparaion! I'm usually fine with doing my own thing and not really needing too much approval, but with transiting Saturn opposing my 27 Aqu Moon as well, I guess I'm getting a refresher course! I can totally see how it would relate, in my case with regards to Self (Asc) and Others (Desc).
I wonder what's happening with President Bush...he also has 7 degree Ascendant in Leo. Hmmm..
"the full moon will be falling in your 8th house of SEX."
Ooooh.
Any insight into Venus going retrograde in Virgo/Leo?
Fiona, I started a short discussion on Venus Rx at the forum.
I have Pluto at 5 degrees Leo. I also have Mercuty at 5 degrees Aquarius. As you can tell I'm in my 60's. I've gotten the Tower the last 5X I've had my Tarots read.
My Taurus (?) sun is 5deg. in the 11th.
Wishin I had what eme kah's got going on, hehehe :)~
Anonymous, with Pluto in Leo 5 degrees--I'm just a bit younger myself, my Pluto is in Leo, but a later degree.:-)
Do you know your chart's house placements?
Then we can talk to Jeff about where this full moon will hit for *you*.
The Tower several times might worry me too, probably, ;-) but it may be a big change for you.
Many times we *feel* upset or real let down by someone, so it seems like the Tower is falling, more than it really is.Keep that in mind.
Lets hope it's not something like the World Trade Center thing again --I saw it in my own cards then :-(.
But I shouldn't think the Full Moon could cause anything real troublesome for you.
Eme, notice Mr.Jeff typed sex in UPPER CASE lol.
Talk about capitalizing on sexual matters:-p.
Proserpine: It's also the house of "other people's money". I hope this doesn't mean that I'll become a hooker.
Where will this moon hit me?
Pluto 9 degree Virgo in my 11th house, Mercury 5 degree Scorpio in my 1st as well as Venus 4 degree Scorpio in 1st, Moon 13 degree Aquarius in my 4th?
Lizzie, this Full Moon will either fall in your 3rd house of communication or 4th house of family/home.
Thanks Jeff :)
Don't know which one will be better! lol I'm undergoing serious stress at home as it is,
will this moon make it worse?
Lizzie, the Full Moon will bring light to domestic issues, probably illuminating conflicts between work (Sun near 10th house) and home.
Awesome Jeff! Exactly what I've been wishing for :) Thank the heavens above and you for a fantastic site :)
'ey what am I chopped liver? I'm the only one who wasn't responded too:(
I think since my sun is 5* Taurus in the 11th house the Aquarian moon may have to do with friends. However both my kids are Aquarians or have strong Aquarian planets.
So far I've had a crappy week. Tonight I have to go to a friends birthday party and I'm not in the mood. Maybe this will change my mood.
Meaning this party may change my mood:)
I LIKE chopped liver.
mmmmmm....me too eme!!! But I'd still rather have what your supposed to get. LOL if I can gather up the courage & strength. But I'm sure that I'm not....I'm not really interested anymore :(
I'll settle for some fun with friends regardless of what kind.
Incognito, if you Taurus Sun is in the 11th, then the Aquarius Full Moon is probably falling in your 8th -- maybe power struggles or sexual/financial issues with friends.
Oh that again. I was hoping for something exciting.
Eme,8th hse 'I hope this doesn't mean I'll become a hooker!"
LOLOL..
Never my dear. The word is "call girl". ;-)
seriously,I think it's more like the parners money.(shared money).
Though a client is a 'partner', LOL.
I had honestly thought Eme Kah was your name.
I assumed you were African, because I know an Eme, from Nigeria, though it's not pronounced 'E-may', it's closest in English to 'Em-eh'.:-)
Might as well jumnp on the wagan here.:-)
The Full moon today is falling in my 1st HSE.
So, Jeff especially since my Moon is in Taurus 2 degrees(3rd Hse), and Saturn in Scorpio in my 9th, what happens in my life Jeffrey- pray, tell?:-)
All I'm aware of is I feel strange mentally and physically--exhausted, and uncomfortable..
Oh--well...that *is* my first house i guess, physical body.
Eme, and Incognito, I like chopped liver too. :-)
proserpine- I have been feeling physically exhausted lately. I have had to force myself to go out. Once out I am fine but when home again all I want to do is sleep in order to quiet my mind. I do hope this passes soon!
Mmmmm chopped liver, yummy! But there is only one place that it's good and its quite a drive from me, and off the beaten path. It's worth it as it fresh & yummy. So I only have it a few times a year. We Taureans love (good) food!
Jeesh, this morning I went to mow the back lawn and discovered beer bottles & cans! The teens behind me has trashed my yard one too many times. I called over to the "adult" and told him. He just said that he didn't get home until late and doesn't know anything about it. Uh, ohhhh I wonder if this is the full moon creating havoc?!?! I realize that I have planets elluding I'm a fighter but only if necessary and it kills me to! Oh well, its time for me to be movin' on anyway. My life is stagnat here.
There's an awesome thunder storm going on here right NOW. I put all my house plants out in it and I'm veggin out on the screened porch, watching it.
"I assumed you were African, because I know an Eme, from Nigeria, though it's not pronounced 'E-may', it's closest in English to 'Em-eh'.:"
Oh, Proserpine, that's how I pronounce it too. I think I got the transliteration wrong. It's Em (as in the letter "m") and "eh". I'mma gonna go fix that right now. And you'd be surprised how confused people are about pronouncing it! I don't know why. For some people it's virtually unpronounceable.
Soooooo.....how was everyone's full moon in Aquarius? Mine was uneventful.
Eme, I understand.:-)Thank you for answering me too. That is odd huh?I don't see why some find it unpronouncable.Maybe it's that theyre *afraid* it'll sound wrong you know?
btw, just for information, my "name" on here is pronounced pro-SAIR-pana.It's the Roman version of the Greek 'Persephone'--which most people mispronounce too--[it's perSEPHenee :-) ].
Anyway.
All that happened with me for thr Full moon is I felt sick, and tired for days.
How about yourself?
incognito, do you feel any more energetic now yourself?:-)
Yes I do feel more energized, how about you? It has been very hot here the past couple of days. Yesterday I took a bike ride then went to the ocean. Today I cut the front & back grass until I was soaking wet with sweat. I don't like to mow the grass but it's a chore that I cannot escape. Afterward I took a cold outdoor shower, well it doesn't have hot, LOL. After that I stayed indoors most of the day. In the evening to the little bayside beach near my home where it was windy & cooler. At dusk, I took my dog out for a walk.
I'm home alot some say that I live in a cocoon. It's very comfy here :)I'm hoping to go back to work before winter.
