Mercury Retrograde Mishaps

This morning, I fumbled with the cordless phone and dropped it in the fish tank.

What mishaps have you had so far?

The other night I dropped a whole glass of gingerale on my bed, then when I went to turn off the lamp, it broke and fell on my head. Not to mention various mishaps at work!

Mishaps? Haven't broken a leg or dislocated a shoulder yet, but how about MISCOMMUNICATIONS???????

A bad bad meeting with a (now ex) employer. A whole lot of promises he made me JUST BEFORE merc. retro were ALL TAKEN BACK this week. AND he was MEAN about it!

And, this morning, with another, family business in which I have a "say"-- two small items that needed discussion ended up turning into world war 3..

In both situations I ended up feeling like there is something fundamentally wrong with ME..

could it be??

Pluto is setting dynamite up under my midheaven...

I'm in a bad mood.
Blessings to you,though! MADDIE

6/17: Even though it was on the schedule that I was to play accordion from 1:30 - 4:30 at the restaurant I play at every Sunday, the staff thought I wasn't going to be there and told the pianist to come early.

6/24: I'm the kind of person who slows down at yellow lights and looks both ways before proceeding at a red light, just to be careful. I freakin' RAN A RED LIGHT! And I honked indignantly at the person who had the right of way because I thought THEY had the red light. By the grace of God nobody was hit or hurt. (Angels working overtime.)

Other: an acquaintance's travel plans got totally messed up. Other folks' computers crashed and at the office I work at we lost the I-net for 3 days. I stayed cool and blamed it all on Mercury.

So busy attempting to converse with a Gemini while fixing dinner, I went to the frig to get condiments, grabbed a couple of jars . . . then wondered where the jar of jam was?! =groan= in my hand . . . :-)

Rushed an ad over to the local town newspaper to rent my condo and neglected to include my check. Then they posted it under homes for sale not apartments to rent. I posted another ad for my apartment on the big-city newspaper's classified site and mistyped my email address. Just ordered an air conditioner for the new apartment and canceled it almost immediately when I realized I could get another one cheaper. All classic Merc retro stuff. I shouldn't be trying to do all this communication stuff so fast. But Uranus is zapping my nervous system.

OMG, Jeff, can't believe you dropped it in the FISH TANK!!!!

Here, the usual: phone calls promised/expected that don't come for days, missed the bus, all my pens running out of ink at the same time, posting to my blog and finding not the usual one typo to fix afterward, but a bunch of them. Otherwise, just sleepy and having a hard time focusing.

Saturday I went to a party and there was a funny little mishap that I attributed to the trickster. It was a Swedish Midsommar party, and the hostess specified to bring a side dish or dessert. One of the guests brought an entire flat of strawberries, two angel food cakes, and two cans of whipped cream. Well, the hostess already had made two beautiful cakes filled with fresh strawberries and frosted "Swedish style" with whipped cream. The first thing I thought, with two of everything (and dessert, which is very Cancer)and then doubled by mistake was, "Mercury retrograde strikes again!" The good news was that she sent all her guests home with cake and strawberries! I wish every Mercury Rx was this yummy!

In last week I went out in the evening only twice - both times my cell battery dropped dead on me. Never happened while I was at home.

Day before yesterday started with my wi-fi keyboard 'denial of work'.
I thought it's the batteries, so I took other pair from the charger - empty, they were badly placed. So I rushed out to get new ones, put them in... nothing. It appears that one of the two radio channels on which keyboard and RF transmitter can communicate is dead. Change of channel fixed the thing, luckily.
Everything happened in the moment when a friend asked for someones cell phone number - over IM.

Only hour or two later my ball(!) mouse started acting weird even after 4 attempts of cleaning the mouse and the mouse pad ("it's pure mechanic, what the hell is happening!?", voice in the head said). I was smart enough to remember that Mercury is Rx so I bought two pairs of batteries and hooked up wi-fi mouse again.

Two light bulbs exploded on my attempt to switch the light on - in two days (in the bathroom), which was commented at home with "and you are some electrical engineer? Yeah, right" .
Our washing machine dropped dead (also in the bathroom) yesterday.

One of my very good friends thought I was being bitchy while I was just cracking jokes as usual, though on his account (we didn't get into a fight or anything, he knows I get weird sometimes).

There was more for sure.

Anonymous, I am sorry to hear about your job. I wouldn't think that Mercury Rx alone would correspond with your situation. Uranus did just go retrograde over the weekend (that can bring on the unexpected) and there may be transits happening specifically to your chart, so it would be difficult to determine how things will change (everything changes!) without looking at your chart.

My car broke down, my cell phone quit, my cats all got nose infections (don't know if this is due to MercuryRx but, hey why not), had many a miscommunication involving business, and today I threw my back out. This is the WORST one this year!

Yesterday afternoon I watched about 15 of my current work files *disappearing* from my project folder. Vanished. Apparently I'd had my hand on the mouse and had inadvertently selected a bunch of files and inadvertently clicked my finger on some mouse command. They weren't in my recycle bin either. Fortunately, our IT guy figured out they'd been moved out to some other folder and I was able to restore them. Phew. I've never done *that* before.
