Mercury Retrograde in Cancer -- June 15 to July 9, 2007

We've been in the process of buying a house, and the last piece of paperwork required for the mortgage just came in yesterday. I was concerned, because Mercury stations retrograde today in Cancer, the sign of homes and real estate. Any paperwork or agreements related to these matters may get lost or go awry during this period.

It's also a time to recollect on family matters, to think about the past. Maybe you'll find an old family heirloom, or you'll go through letters from your grandma.

Look to the house (astrological house, that is) that has Cancer on its cusp. This will show where you get all sentimental, and the themes of this house will require your attention during this time.

Wow, congratulations on buying a house! And hey, better to finalize a big purchase like that with Mercury retrograde than with Venus retrograde, eh?

Congratulations!

My ascendant is Cancer so I guess I will be sentimental about my own self.

Yes, congrats on the house purchase! I just put a deposit on an apartment yesterday with my current housemate (I'll have to find tenants for my condo, which is 45 miles away from my job). I was a bit afraid to seal the deal on the apartment while Mercury is retrograde, but it seems like just what we want. 1.25 miles from my job and 4 miles from hers!

Transiting Uranus is stationing opposite my Sun, which is in the 2nd house. I figure it means giving up my biggest possession, my condo. I guess with both Uranus and Venus going retro soon, Mercury isn't so much to worry about!

By the time Venus stations retrograde, I will have moved in. Perhaps we will have to sort through our old possessions in storage that we didn't already ditch, to see what's worth keeping.
