Full Moon in Taurus - November 5, 2006
I feel sorry for Taurus. The Bull wants security, and she is all alone, opposite five Scorpio planets: Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter. Although both Taurus and Scorpio are fixed signs, Taurus resists change a whole lot more than Scorpio. After all, Scorpio is the sign of deep, personal transformation. An earth sign, Taurus is a bit stick-in-the-mud, whereas watery Scorpio digs underneath the dirt to unearth whatever is preventing her from changing. Both Taurus and Scorpio do have much in common: money, sex and values. Scorpio is the more social of these two signs, so she's about what we share: our financial resources, our bodies, our emotions. Taurus is more about security, hoarding money and slathering oneself with bath salts to enjoy the sensuality of the body.
Both signs are also pretty possessive: being fixed signs, they don't want to let go. However, Scorpio is more likely to bring out a full onslaught of dark emotions if she catches you looking at another person, whereas Taurus will probably hold in her resentment, stubbornly keeping to herself what's bothering her.
This conflict is exacerbated by a square to Neptune. When both the Sun and Moon make an approximately 90-degree angle to the planet of illusion, we know we're in trouble! Fantasy, deception and delusion are the name of the game. In matters of love, we are in a fantasy world, especially with relationship planet Venus in a tight square with the god of imagination. We are in love with love, and tend to idealize whomever we're smitten with. Neptune also brings out the martyr in us, so we make sacrifices, get all codependent, lose our identities, let ourselves become subsumed by our relationships.
Neptune also makes us extremely sensitive. The Scorpionic part of ourselves is able to tap into our intuitions and read other people. Taurus, being an earth sign, is more likely to "pick up" messages in nature, seeing how all is connected by walking in a forest.
The key for this Full Moon is to not put up walls in defense -- unless, of course, there is real danger. Scorpio is a wee bit suspicious of letting down her guard unless she can totally trust that dissolving her boundaries is safe. And Taurus is afraid that in losing herself in Neptunian transcendence, she'll also lose all that she holds near and dear. Getting your bliss fix can be difficult if you're too "fixed."
This Full Moon will mostly impact those with planets or angles around 12 degrees of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), as well people whose birthdays are around February 1, May 3, August 5, or November 5.

Hi Jeffrey- I have 0 degrees Scorpio rising and 5 planets in Taurus ( Sun, moon, Mercury, Mars & Jupiter) so this full moon will be interesting for me personally. I have come to a point in my life where I am able to be more at peace with change and letting things go. I have a talent for breaking things I cherish or they get ruined somehow ( material possessions). I have learned to accept this because of my studies in Buddhism. Anyway, you can't take it with you in the end.
Katie,
You're right ... you can't take it with you in the end, but it's certainly hard to let it go before then!
It looks like this Full Moon is falling in your self/other houses. With so many natal planets in your 7th house, you're bound to have something come up around partnership.
Take care!
As a shaman I have seen the nature of scorpio transform into pure empowerment in females, leaving all the old archetypes so far into the past that it makes my work as a night shaman worth the daggers of the unconscious of other bearable when i see one escape hell for good. These of course are the Lilith and Dark Goddess empowerment archetypes of Scorpio, its polarity Taurus wants to make sure that we can come up from the underworld and take a break and enjoy the beauty of the cycles of changes. Yes both fixed, but for a positive reason once the outside world is turned away from and the journey into self becomes 24/7... And with the energy of scorpio and taurus those seeds are possible as a biginning change needed for all peoples of earthy terra. SeattleShaman
Excellent views on both sides. Let's be sure to remember our Mother's influence in all of this, after all Pluto's resting place is just midst of the folds, and also to realize that this extenstion of an interview with the lord of the waters is just as global as an election.

I believe this will affect me, my home, my marriage...
I have Tauras rising 10 degrees, with a November 5th wedding anniversary.(23 years. Getting married in Scorpio was a good move (<: )
I don't really have a good handle on how this will manifest. Any thoughts?
Wow, there's a lot of people searching about breaking up and getting love from a certain someone, over on the side there. My search was: full moon Nov. 2006. Lovely site. Will be visiting regularly. Thanks! Z.
Oh, one more thing. Why only seduction tips on men? Curious.
Thanks, all, for your comments. I took the weekend off, so here are my Monday morning responses:
Seattle Shaman: What I'm getting from your post is that the benefits of the fixed energy in Taurus and Scorpio are the commitment required to undergo major transformation and to stay on the path, however painful the "daggers of the unconscious."
Hawks: The "lord of the waters" -- Neptune -- both shields us from the reality of returning to the Mother (where Pluto takes us back into the fold), and asserts that there really is no difference between life and death. It's all an illusion, baby.
10 Taurus Rising: With all these transiting Scorpio planets in your house of partnership, you can expect some transformation either in your marriage or your husband's life.
Why only seduction tips on men? I would venture to guess that men are not as likely to turn to astrology. That's why we have FHM and Maxim!
I am Scorpio (with many planets in Scorpio - Aries moon and Taurus ascendant). My question is, since I was born in the Southern Hemisphere, NE coast of Brazil, how does that affect my traits as opposed to a Northern born Scorpio. What are the differences?
Thank you :)
Hi,
I'm a woman with moon in scorpio in the 2nd house at 12 degrees and uranus in scorpio in the 2nd house at 28 degrees. In what way would the full moon affect me?
P.S. Once, during a full moon in scorpio, I punched a hole in the wall after getting extremely jealous and angry. Oops! Have since learned to be less physical.
