Am I having such a hard day because there are six planets in Scorpio?
All these planets are yelling, "I bow to Pluto!"
The Lord of the Underworld -- which rules Scorpio in modern astrology -- has been transiting my natal Venus in hard aspect. And this super-Scorpionic energy is opening a doorway through which Pluto can make a large impact.
So this Pluto-square-Venus transit I'm having is really starting to make sense to me. In The Gods of Change, Howard Sasportas writes that, during a Pluto transit, the archetypal energy of the natal planet being aspected is either intensified or (temporarily) killed off. And my Venus has been killed off. She has been dragged, like Persephone, into the Underworld, and my inner Demeter is crying because she is afraid her daughter will never come back.
Yet, if astrology has taught me anything, it has been that "This too shall pass." Pluto will move on into Capricorn, and my Venus will re-emerge empowered and regenerated. I have no idea what she'll look like or how she'll act, but I have faith that in her return, I'll have integrated some lesson that has thus far eluded me.

Pluto's last "hit" was 10/20 when most of these planets were in Libra, so I imagine, as these inner planets continue to transit Scorpio, the meaning will be revealed.
Oh, it took me forever to figure out what my Pluto transits were all about, and I'm fairly sure I'm not done with that process yet. There seem to be stages of grief involved... and just as when there's a death in the family, you recover and discover in drips and drabs for months (sometimes years) to come. There is a kind of ecstacy when you come through to the other side, though, and I sure hope you'll tell us about that experience - because once Pluto goes into Capricorn I'm going to be dealing with Pluto opposed Venus, and I'm going to need some inspiration! :)
It must be difficult for a Pisces to have his Venusian energy ripped from him, since Neptune is the higher energy of Venus. Were you into hard sex or no sex? Over-indulgence? or lack of drive at all? I am curious because now Pluto in Capricorn will square my venus in Aries. The trine was pretty intense! I am looking for more than anything the Pluto trine to my Sun. I have never had Pluto solar support!!!

I'm afraid that this blog is a wee bit public to be talking about my sex life. This post was vaguely poetic for a reason. However, I will be happy to wax on about generic lessons learned at a future date.
Pluto square my 24 Virgo Venus - I'm still a bit shaky from the intensity! While the 2nd to last hit on my Venus was emotionally painful, things are actually improving in this arena and I feel wiser, more mature, and have acquired a more realistic view with regard to my personal relationships and partnership.

I haven't had a Pluto oppose my Venus, nor square it--it is squaring my Jupiter, and I'm having difficulties financially,-- Lets hope my Jupiter resurrects in time, one way or the other.
However, Jeffrey, I was thinking--Venus being killed off (temporaily) you said.So, might that mean your social life, and concommitant charm,luck, & women friends etc. will be "underground" only to rebirth in a new way down the line?
