"But is having an “a ha” moment about how to better sell an ebook a creative act? " I certainly think so. In general, the idea of business creativity seems frequently discounted. Particularly in communities focused on either Art or Spirituality, there seems to be an underlying, usually unspoken assumption that the money end is somehow dirty. Money represents an exchange of energy. People who are skilled at managing business are doing a form of energy work as far as I see it and the better one is at it, the more energy they have at their disposal to also contribute to the wider community at large. Creativity comes in many different forms.

Greek and Roman wisdom not withstanding, I think daimon, genius and muse eminate from our highest *inner* selves, not externally, same as the diety we dance and sweat to on Friday nights. I think creativity knows no bounds and if your muse is directing you to pump up the traffic or edit someones post so it's cogent, no worries, that's as legitimate a manifestation of her energy as any other.

Right now I'm in class and I'm networking and I found your profile on linkedin.com as a designer, I was so happy because you're doing EXACTLY what I want to do with my life. You have a passion for the written word, astrology, and graphic design. That is very inspirational to me, I just had to tell you. I want to be where you are, and then some! Thank you for existing! And sasstrology is awesome lmao <3

Also, I have Aries mars as well. ^___^ that's probably why your profile picture is so perfectly attractive to me, now that I think about it. Not to be disrespectful, just being honest lmao

Jeffrey,

Electional Astrology is not about living your life according to the ephemeris.

When an astrologer can't find an astrologically worthy moment to start a new project, such as launching your website, it usually means the event is not ready to happen, and the client is encouraged to ask why that might be.

In the case of starting a new project during an eclipse period, one is usually, well, eclipsed, i.e., in the dark, not in the know, can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Therefore, the advice is to wait and see until things come to light. And with an eclipse, one can always trust Mother Nature that something will, indeed, come to light.

On the other hand, especially in the case of launching a new site, I don't think any doom will come upon you if you do it sooner rather than later. It might just mean, if you don't wait and see, then later on, when things do come to light and you see, you can always re-launch.

And then, we can talk about the merits of Mercury Retrograde!

Good luck with it, J

Jeffrey asks "What’s your take? How much do you rely on the ephemeris to plan major life or business events?"

I don't. Ever. I enjoy Astrology and all but tend to follow my gut pretty often. And if I need confirmation of something, I consult with my trusty Tarot deck :).

If an opportunity is right there, ripe for the picking, we should take it.

On the other hand, I believe that we should also listen to ourselves intently when doubt begins to creep in. When a decision is "right", it is absent of doubt-- full of confidence and energy.

Look at how animals operate. Because they are so in-tune with the planet, empty of iPod-related distraction, they can sense when they are safe and when they are in danger :).

Love your blog.

I virtually never elect times to start things. I tend to go with my gut instincts and it usually works out ok. But I did recommend to someone on my radio that they not start a business the week of the eclipse with seven planets in Grand Cross formation. I usually pay more attention to transits in my own chart but in the end, I go with my gut. Sun square Uranus can hardly do otherwise!
