About Jeff
Jeffrey Kishner is a professional astrologer, writer and psychotherapist.He first learned astrology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where he took the course Psyche and Cosmos, co-taught by Richard Tarnas (author of Cosmos and Psyche) and transpersonal psychiatrist Stan Grof. After having studied planetary aspects for a few years, Jeffrey started his Astrology at the Movies blog, where he primarily wrote about the correspondence between planetary aspects in a director's chart and recurrent themes in his or her movies. He co-edited a self-published anthology, The Astrology of Film, with Bill Streett. The book was positively reviewed by Cafe Astrology and Moses Siregar III.
After Jeffrey moved to his current home of Brooklyn, NY, he studied privately for a few years with John Marchesella, the current Education Director of the NYC chapter of the NCGR, of which Jeffrey is a member.
Jeffrey has been regularly blogging about every New and Full Moon at Lunar Tunes Astrology and about the astrology of relationships at Seduction Central. He created the Seduction Central Forum and Social Network, where members discuss relationships within the framework of astrology. Jeffrey also guest blogs at the popular relationship blog Ask Dan and Jennifer.
Jeffrey has been published in the print publications The Mountain Astrologer, Dell Horoscope, and The Ingress and online at StarIQ and Constellation.
During Jeffrey's early studies, he was strongly influenced by the authors Liz Greene, Howard Sasportas, Sue Tompkins, Stephen Arroyo and Rob Hand. He is a frequent admirer of the blog writings of April Elliott Kent.
Jeffrey has been dialoguing with clients about their natal charts since 2001. He is available for consultations.
