Libra and Scorpio: The glue that fails to hold them together

Lust alone can bring people together, but it’s not the glue that makes them stick. Whether you want some easy-to-apply paste or ’til-death-do-us-part cement, compatibility is the adhesive that helps two people cohere.
If Libra likes Elmer’s glue, then Scorpio digs the Crazy variety. Although both brands fasten, Scorpio’s going to cling alot more fiercely than Libra, who’s into forging the connection but not so committed to an everlasting bond.
Libra loves the idea of relationships, but this sign’s element — Air — is not as integral to the love-paste recipe as Water, Scorpio’s element. Scorpio feels his way into relationship, and it is the emotional intimacy that keeps his glue gummy.
However, before they even open up their art supply cabinets, these signs may think they’ve got a chance. Both signs are (traditionally) ruled by the lovers, Venus (Libra) and Mars (Scorpio). Both are associated with the relationship sector of the horoscope (7th and 8th Houses). Scorpio — immediately following Libra on the zodiacal wheel — picks up on the former’s initial impulse to connect and deepens it.
But that’s where the similarities end … and don’t we require two similar surfaces if we want to fasten them together?

I’m a Libra going out with a Scorpio, and he has loved me more than any other boyfriend I’ve had. Our bond (or “glue”) is EXTREMELY deep (or “sticky” lol); I’ve never had such a deep connection with anyone before. We both love each other very much, and I don’t have a doubt on my mind that I would love to spend the rest of my life with him, and he feels the same way about me. Maybe it’s something different in my birth chart that makes me have a very good “glue” with a Scorpio, or something with his. I don’t know what, but I do know that OUR glue doesn’t fail to hold us together
Lianet, do you know where his personal planets are? You only have Pluto in Scorpio.
I have his birth chart, and it says that he has Moon in Gemini, Mercury, Venus, Uranus, and Neptune in Saggitarius, Mars & Jupiter in Capricorn, and Saturn and Pluto in Scorpio. His Rising Sign is Leo, like me.

Sometimes next-door signs end up having much more in common if personal planets are in each other’s Sun signs (or in signs compatible with the other’s Sun).
I dated a Libra with Scorp moon. We bonded quickly!! He liked being together all the time, but was very understanding when I had other things to do. Our bond felt karmic. He really restored my faith in “good guys” when I needed it most.
I once had a relationship with a Libra man. He was drawn to my passion and I was drawn to his levelheadedness. Guess what traits ultimately drove us apart.
I really don’t think Scorp/Libra combo would work unless they had very compatible moons, risings, planets, or something, because a Libra is generally not insane enough to satisfy a Scorpio.
I mean that in the most loving way about Scorpios…but they are VEEEERY intense and like it given right back to them just as strong. They must have invented that staring game where you try to see who will look away first.
What about Libras with Scorpio personal planets? My Libra friend with Venus and Mars in Scorpio loves intensity and passion! Then again, she likes to deny when she’s feeling intense or passionate about anything except a social cause.
what about Libra with Scorpio rising as well as Mercury, moon and Jupitor also in Scorpio? Does not change the way the peron would interact

I think you have to look at the whole chart, not just the sun signs. I’m a Scorpio with Libra Rising, a Libra Moon, and my Venus in Libra, so I actually find that being in a relationship with Libra works for me. His Venus is in Scorpio, and we have a Venus/Mercury conjuction on both sides, not to mention a Sun/Moon conjuction and lots personal planet/ascendant activity.

Hello I’m a Scorpio female and I have been in love with a Libra male for 6 years. From the time I met him it was something about him that made want to get to know him more.We hung out for about 6 months straight as friends having a blast and we have never been intimate. He would always bring up how he wanted to be intimate with me but couldn’t because of my kids father and that I was marriage material. I dated a Scorpio Male, and im a Female Libra. Scorpio was always the one that got way deeper into a situation than me. At first i love d his Jealousy and Deep Conversations. But after a while it was like, every guy i talked to, i MUST be doing something with. And the conversations were always Deep. I mean chill out for a second! After about half a year, i broke it off. A couple months later, we started talking, i of course was hung up on the past, realizing that..i told him, i dont like him for the present really. He turned the wheels around so quickly! Everything that was ever said was apparently NEVER said. Scorpio are really insecure, and WILL backstab when hurt, whether they realized theyre doing it or not.

My relationship with my scorpio EX-boyfriend was the most passionate, insane, intense love/hate relationship either of us has ever been in. He recently got back in contact after… oh about… 15 yrs after our ‘final’ break-up.
Honestly I think the match can not only work between secure, mature adults, but be one of the best combinations there are. There has not been any other sign that has been able to draw out pure, crazy emotions from me. And perhaps the feeling that he could never possess me is what I pulled out of him. But we were very young and immature and probably shouldn’t have gone out ‘partying’ every weekend! The alcohol made me flirty and, well, as you all probably know… Scorps don’t like that so much!

Most things are good the 1st few years in a relationship even if the signs aren’t a match. It may not necessarily last for the real long term. I’m Pisces male married to Gemini female however, little different dynamic. That passion after the first 4 years or so most likely will dwindle to some degree. Good luck to everyone though.

Personaly, I am a Libra woman, very happily involved with a Scorpio man, and he gives me the motivation to ACTUALLY do everything I’ve wanted to do, and known I should be doing. Which is amazing for someone as indecisive as I am.
Other than that, this is what I’ve observed:
Alot of this relationships ups and downs will depend on the emotional maturity of both parties involved.
The Libra will have to understand that Scorpio’s emotional turbulance is not permanant, and, although they may seem absolutly and unshakably decided in something now, all that could change the moment they begin to have doubts. This will make things hard for Libra, who, once decided (when and IF that ever happens) will usually stick with that dicision until another way is proven to be the better path.
As for Scorpians, they need to be forgiving with Libra, who will sometimes press matters that Scorpio would much rather leave alone. Libra just doesn’t understand why Scorpio gets so worked up, when they’re just trying to analyze the situation.
So understanding must be significantly emphasized in this relationship for it to work. Each side will need to view things from the other’s perspective if they wish to avoid painfull, and emotionaly charged fights.
However I truly belive that this pairing is possibly the most benifical match up, and has a huge potential for growth (of both the relationship, and the minds and spirits of those involved.)
