How to Seduce and Get Your Sagittarius Man to Commit

The following guest post is by Lisa Saliture.

Calling all Cowgirls! Get your cowboy boots and your lasso ready, you are about to enter the "corral of love" to catch yourself a Sagittarius man, so brush up on your riding skills, and find a comfortable saddle for the ride of your life.

If you have ever dated the archer, you know he is good at dating, but he's a little tricky to catch. Sagittarius is symbolized by the Centaur -- half horse and half man -- which clearly gives him the ability to remain independent and roam the planet like a wild stallion, only slowing down long enough for sexual conquests and many short-term relationships.

Sag Man Traits

The zodiac sign Sagittarius is ruled by the largest planet in our solar system, Jupiter, giving this man a flavor of confidence, optimism, freedom and the need to expand his adventures into greener pastures. He loves to indulge in an abundance of adventure, travel, and as many women as possible. His positive attitude and sexy smile are infectious, and can become an instant addiction for the unsuspecting female. The Sagittarius man is a physical creature, and will put 100% of his energy into pleasing a woman in a relationship, using his imagination to make it a wild and tantalizing destination for her.

The Sagittarius man is turned on by an athletic, sexually open-minded woman who has her own friends and isn't available at his beck and call. He loves a woman who is adventurous, impulsive, and as direct as possible -- especially when it comes to sex, since this man thinks of sex as a sporting event. Repetition bores him, so keep him on his toes by keeping him guessing.

Seducing a Sagittarius Man

If a Sag man is attracted to you, he will let you know right away -- by being blunt with whatever words he can spit out of his mouth. Unfortunately, his mouth is not connected to the part of the brain which controls tact. Instead, his thoughts go straight to his mouth without anything stopping him -- except his foot, after it's too late. A fun-filled date with a Sag man is the way to capture his heart, and a few activities he is sure to enjoy are: paintball, gambling, sky diving or horseback riding, since his fantasy is to be a rough and tough cowboy. Once you agree on having an adventurous date with a fun-loving Sag man, you are on your way to seducing him into your side of the horse stable for a roll in the hay. Just don't mention commitment anytime to soon, or he will run for the hills.

Getting Your Sag Man to Commit

Here's the deal with Sagittarius men -- after he has you thinking you've finally met the man of your dreams, you literally could end up waiting a lifetime for this guy to actually commit to a long-term relationship. The dilemma for the single female who spots him and wants to lure him into her pasture for the long haul is: How do I get him to commit? This is where your lasso techniques are really helpful. An idealist who sees the silver lining in any situation, the Sagittarius man will take a chance on love, and dive right into romance with reckless abandon. However, he has a keen sense of when to sprint like a bolt of lightning when the words commitment or marriage is mentioned. If you want your Sag man to commit, you will have to deal with his freedom-loving behavior, his wild streak for adventure, and his philosophical, deep discussions about the meaning of life. Your ability to develop patience is necessary. Give him adequate time to understand your goal for a future together. One way to achieve this level of self-discipline is to consider practicing meditation and advanced yoga. These mindfulness and relaxation techniques can help you keep your sanity while hanging with the jovial Jupiter boy.

Here are a few pointers for getting your Sag man to commit:

Love Yourself First

Figure out who you are and what you need in order to have a rewarding long-term relationship. Once you've developed your own activities and interests in life, you'll ooze an air of sexy confidence, which is irresistible to the Sagittarius man. When you find a Sag who rocks your world, you won't scare him off by being clinging or blaming him for not making you happy. You are the only person who is responsible for making yourself happy. Your confident and independent attitude will help him realize that you are strong enough to leave if you aren't satisfied with his level of commitment.

Set the Dating Rules Groundwork

When you are casually dating a Sag man, you have to set the dating standards from the beginning. Luckily, Sag loves honesty and cutting to the chase, so laying the groundwork upfront through communicating to him should be a cinch. By explaining what you want out of the relationship, you are letting him know you are not going to casually date forever. The Centaur will realize that you aren't going to waste your time dating someone who isn't serious or who wants to keep dating other women. He will listen to your needs if you don't whine or ignore what he has to say about his needs in the relationship.

Understanding His Needs

It is important to the Sagittarius man that you understand his needs in a long-term relationship vs. a casual dating situation. Being a good listener shows you can understand his point of view. If your goal is to make him happy in a long-term committed relationship, you have to be open to what life has to offer. In other words, come out of your comfort zone and make life an adventure. Spontaneity is the key word for getting this fire sign to commit to you, which means you want to always make time for getaways, show interest and challenge his mind with deep conversations, and be experimental when it comes to pleasing him in the bedroom.

If you remain his best friend, show him that you trust him by willingly giving him a little freedom to do his own thing, and of course maintain the patience of a saint, your Sag man will always return home. When he does finally fall in love and commit, the Sagittarius guy believes in the idea of life-long soul mates exploring the universe together, which makes this fire sign worth waiting for -- even if it does take a lifetime of adventure to keep him permanently grounded in your world.

Sagittarius woman wonders if it's OK to be needy

saggirl provided her birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year. We are both Sags, and this year I will be graduating from school and leaving this city. I give him his space, but I get hurt often because I feel as if, sometimes, he doesn't want to include me in his life. After we get into an argument (which has been frequently, lately) I am usually the one who ends up going back to him, tail between my legs, because I love him (and, also let my insecurities get the best of me). Am I right to be so apologetic?
Although you are a freedom-loving Sagittarius, you need cosiness and security in relationships. Cancer, an emotional sign that needs stability to feel comfortable, is on the cusp of your Seventh House, or Descendant. This is the area of your chart where the western horizon was at the moment of your birth, and it relates to the qualities you look for in a partnership.

Although you consciously identify as a woman who longs for adventure and mind-expanding books, you crave nurturing and an "at-home" feeling with a boyfriend. There's nothing wrong with this -- it's just that you may judge yourself for this yearning. With Venus in Capricorn, you may think you need to keep a stiff upper lip when it comes to love. To show otherwise may be considered a sign of weakness. In addition, you may feel insecure about how lovable (Venus) you are because Capricorn has high expectations that are hard to live up to.

If you're moving away, he may not want to get too close. It's just the beginning of the year, and I imagine your term ends just before summer. Communication is not easy now -- with Mars retrograde in Gemini and Mercury turning retrograde on January 28 -- but you may need to have a direct conversation about where you want to go as a couple. Should you make most of your time together, and then break up when you graduate? Or try a long-distance relationship? If you both can feel comfortable with where you are and where you're going, he may pull away less often.

Sagittarius woman misses Cancer man, deletes him from MySpace

Saj provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
Ive always heard that Sag and Cancer don't get along but in my case I feel like we are somewhat compatible. His moon is in Aquarius and my moon is in Libra. His mars is in Leo and Venus in Cancer and my mars is in Scorpio and Venus in Capricorn. Anyway, when we first met we got really tight and slowly after like a month we started to kind of fade and stopped talking as often but i still slept over sometimes and each time was amazing. The last time we were together was the best. It felt so right like we knew exactly how to take care of each other.

He wont talk about it with me so I stopped trying to force him to share his feelings with me but I got so uncomfortable not really knowing where we stand and not knowing the truth for sure so I told him we should stop seeing each other the way we did and I told him I deleted him as my friend off myspace because i was trying to get over him a little bit and now he's not talking to me.

My question is, is there a chance he could miss me too? Because I miss him so much and I wont IM him or text him or call him just because when I tried to before, I got no response. Sometimes I feel like when he puts sad love songs as away messages they are for me but I can't be too sure because theres a million other girls in the world and who really knows.

I've met a lot of guys since and I'm going out with them sometimes but i still think about him even when I'm out and I have no desire to be with anyone else.
You have a powerful Mars: it is dignified in its own (traditional) sign, conjunct your Midheaven, and intensified by a conjunction to Pluto. It's actually a pretty potent combination: the two planets of sexuality conjunct, in the sign that they both rule, at the cusp of the very public 10th House. You've got sexual drive up the yin yang, and he's probably scared of you. A poor little Cancer could get destroyed by that combination. And with Venus rising in Capricorn, you're probably really attractive, albeit in a very classy and dignified way. You've got high standards, and maybe he feels he's not good enough for you.

However, you're attracted to him because you have Cancer on your Descendant (the cusp of your Seventh House). You're drawn to the sensitive type who can provide nurturing and care. But you have to remember that Cancer feels easily vulnerable and can pull back into his shell to protect himself, thus giving a hard appearance. Perhaps he doesn't feel safe enough to share his feelings with you right now.

delete friend from MySpace? You have a stellium of planets in Sagittarius: Mercury, Sun, Saturn and Uranus, all within orb of a conjunction, and opposite Chiron in Gemini. Deleting him off your MySpace is a little extreme, but suddenly (Uranus) cutting off (Saturn) a guy (Sun) because you feel wounded (Chiron) fits with your chart. Also, the vindictive nature of Mars-Pluto in Scorpio makes me wonder if you're punishing him for not opening up to you after you felt so connected to him.

The key is to stop forcing him to share his feelings with you. He may indeed still have you in his heart, but he's not going to take off his armor if he feels backed into a corner.

Pisces may lie, but Sagittarius stretches the truth

big chairIn the comments section of Sagittarius woman only needs Cancer man when she's lonely, many Sagittarians lambasted the poor Cancer guy with Pisces rising for lying to his Sag ex-girlfriend.
"You see we do always tell the truth (as we see it) for better or worse and we do appreciate the truth in the same way."

"Sadge women CANNOT be lied to...no matter what."

"Sagittarius people cannot tolerate a liar."

Perhaps the truth as Sagittarius sees it is not the same as The Truth. This sign's ruling planet is Jupiter, the Expander and Exaggerator. When a fact doesn't support Sagittarius' worldview, philosophy or theory of everything, the Centaur may just choose to ignore it. After all, the Big Picture is more important than every little detail. And Sag may give some supporting pieces of information slightly more emphasis than others to make her point. She wouldn't call this "lying," just "putting things in perspective."

Is stretching the truth less ethically questionable than outright lying? Sagittarius may not see it as a problem. But then again, Sag may not even be aware that she is leaving key points out of her version of the truth. Nor may she recognize when she is over-emphasizing a minor tidbit that makes her look better. And if she does know what she is doing ... well, surely there is a good reason for it.

Sagittarius governs higher education and universities, and there are numerous cases of professors or researchers who fudge the data to help get their scholarly articles into the most prestigious journals. In her arrogance and self-aggrandizement, Sag may prune a few trees to make the forest look better.

Sagittarius woman only needs Cancer man when she's lonely

MJ submitted his birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
I've been with this girl since 2002, and we break up since 2006. But, i can't forget about her! She's unpredictable. As an example, I stopped contacting her because she said so, but out of the blue, she called me like nothing happen before.

I don't think i can forget about her. True, i was "cheat" and lie to her while she's complete honest and faithful to me. I don't understand why she wanted me to give an explanation or reason behind all my action. Sometimes, it drives me mad. Even, when we're argued, she talked based on her own logic. In every argument, it was me who's silent - she's on the winning side. Every argument i make, she reverse it.

Are there a future for us for being together again?

Is cancer compatible with sagittarius?

By the way, she did mention she needs me when she's lonely but no longer love me or need me when she's not lonely. Can't she lie a bit? it - honestly - hurts me. But, i love her and wanted her back.

How can win back sagittarius woman?
I know you love her, but it's not going to work out. The truth hurts -- and no one's more likely to tell it like it is than a Sag -- but you need to accept it. She only wants you when she needs your Cancerian nurturing. When she's not feeling lonely, she's out having adventures and enjoying her freedom -- because that's what a Sagittarius needs to do.

The time of birth you gave me was right on the hour, so I don't know how accurate it is. However, it's possible that you have Pisces Rising, which would accord with your propensity for lying. Pisces would prefer fantasy to reality, and is willing to pull the wool other their own (or someone else's) eyes to manifest their visions.

In your chart, Venus -- symbol of the young woman to whom you are attracted -- is opposite independent Uranus. This aspect suggests that either you are drawn towards women who are averse to settling down, or that you feel this yearning for freedom in relationships. There's nothing wrong this this, but it conflicts with your basic Sun sign nature, which longs for security and coziness. (Your Scorpio Moon also desires intimacy and can't handle the abrupt changes in love brought on by your Venus-Uranus opposition).

Your North Node conjoins your Cancer Sun in your Fifth House of Romance. Bringing sensitivity and care to the realm of love is a requirement for your spiritual growth. You deserve more than a woman who comes to you only when she needs some coddling.

Natal Pluto Aspects -- A Cautionary Tale

The following guest post is by Neith aka Diane Lang.

We are all familiar with the reaction when someone says they have the Sun in Scorpio, but there are other less obvious ways the same energy crops up in natal charts. Those of us who have a strong Pluto influence (for example, a loaded Eighth House, Pluto in aspect to personal planets or Scorpio Rising) can also act a lot like those Scorpio Sun types. I will use an example from my own life to illustrate this . . .

I am a Libra Sun, Libra Moon person with Venus in Sagittarius in the First House. This translates as a pleasant, friendly sort with a charming manner. When I was young, it meant long blond hair, a casual sporty style and a breezy, easy going way about me – Sagittarius bait in essence! The catch is that I have Mars and Mercury in Scorpio conjunct my Scorpio Ascendant, with Pluto squaring my Mars. Throw in a Pluto sextile Moon aspect, and you have a Plutonian type. This meant the exterior was far different from what was going on inside. Now I could also project the Scorpio Rising pretty effectively too, notably when I was angry about something.

Sagittarians love the chase far more than the capture, and if you want to keep their interest, you just need to stay ever so slightly out of reach. There was one Sagittarius guy that was drawn to the Venus in Sagittarius style, and flirted with me like crazy when I was out partying with a girl friend. I found him equally attractive, so I came back another time and started chatting him up. The minute he got wind of the Scorpio intensity, he ran so fast all I saw were hoof prints in the dirt and the bushes waving from the breeze created by his departure.

The moral of this tale is this: If you have lots of Pluto aspects, a loaded Eighth House or Scorpio Rising, even if you are a sweetheart of a Libra, lighthearted Gemini, fun-loving Leo or some other harmless looking sort, you are not nearly the lightweight you appear. So don’t be surprised that when you unveil your natural intensity, you get a different reaction than anticipated. Oh, one other thing ... if you are a Plutonian, it is a good idea to start working on accepting that side of yourself without prejudice and acknowledging you are one of the power-brokers of the Zodiac. There are plenty of rewards . . . = smirk=

Scorpio woman with Gemini on the cusp of her empty Seventh House

Scorp submitted a birth time for the empty Seventh House case study (click chart to view).

You have no planets anywhere near your Seventh House of partnership. All we have to go with is Gemini on your Descendant, or Seventh House cusp. This means that, at the time of your birth, the sign of Gemini was setting on the Western horizon. The sign on the Descendant is always opposite the Rising Sign, which in your case is Sagittarius. Your Rising sign relates to your persona, your physical appearance, how you relate to the world. The sign on the Descendant signifies what you look for in a partner or a partnership. This sign balances out the qualities of your Rising sign.

As a Sag Rising, you are perceived as optimistic, inspiring, a seeker of meaning. Whereas Sagittarius is interested in the Big Ideas, Gemini is attracted to small bits of information. As Sag seeks experiences abroad, Gemini explores the neighborhood. If Sag studies Plato, Gemini reads Page Six.

Gemini is the sign of the Twins. With this sign on the cusp of the Seventh House, you may have two partners, or you may be frequently split in your attentions between two people. As Gemini is a sign known for being superficial or fickle, you may quickly lose interest in a partner, constantly seeking out someone new to stimulate your curiosity. You may also be drawn to Gemini types: writers, journalists, teachers, dexterous people who work with their hands.

For more information on type of person to whom you are attracted, we look at the planet that rules Gemini, Mercury. Your Mercury is in Scorpio at the end of your Tenth House of Career, about 4 degrees shy of the cusp of your Eleventh House of Friends and Groups. You may be drawn to Scorpios like yourself, especially someone involved in associations to which you belong.

Your Mercury is sextile (a 60-degree angle) Jupiter in Virgo in your Ninth House of Travel, Philosophy and Higher Education. This sextile offers a beneficial bridge between these planets of Large (Jupiter) and Small (Mercury), and these planets also happen to be the rulers of your Ascendant (you) and Descendant (your partner). This means there's a good connection based on curiosity and intellectual rapport.

What makes Sagittarius want to get married?

sagittariusIt's a bitch trying to hitch a wild horse, so it's reasonable to assume that one must appeal to the upper half of the centaur if you want to marry him. The higher mind of a Sag studies the religious or philosophical foundations of marriage. The animal self wants to just gallop off to distant lands and impregnate many mares.

Therefore, a Sagittarian's faith, his religious commitment, would be a primary motivation to tie the knot. If God says a man and a woman shall unite and make babies, then Sag will be the first one to jump onto the bandwagon. He's not a conformist, but he'll do what everyone else is doing if there's an inspiring reason to do so.

Not all Sagittarians are God-fearing folk, though. This sign relates to both the legal system and foreign lands, so obtaining a green card would also make him want to exchange rings. If he's truly in love but bristles at the idea of being constrained by a piece of paper, he'll do it anyway to keep his beloved in his country. Or if he's not really in love but his student Visa ran out, he'll exchange vows just so he can stay overseas.

Comment below: Are there any other reasons for a Sagittarius to get married?

Sagittarius woman breaks up with Pisces man after looking through his text messages, and now wants him back

Torrain included a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
I have had a on again off again relationship with a pisces male for 2 years. Recently I accused him of cheating after I went through his cell and discovered some text messages. Needless to say I put him out.

He has answered the phone when I called and he has responded to my text messages. When I send him messages such as I miss you and I want to see u he does not respond. I want him back what can I do. I am Miserable.... Please Help :(
Why did you go through his cell? Oh, I know why! You have Venus in Scorpio and Pluto conjunct your Ascendant! Your paranoid, probing nature seems to have gotten you in trouble. You don't say if your Pisces ex admitted to infidelity. It's certainly possible -- his Mars in Pisces, which can have sexual boundary problems, has been stimulated the last few years by both Uranus and a number of eclipses. Uranus excites him to act on his impulses, and to Pisces, there are many fish in the sea.

Regardless of whether you found him out or just alienated him by invading his privacy, it sounds like he is being civil but has written you off. I hear you're aching over this loss, but what do you expect? If he really did cheat on you, then why do you want him back? And if he didn't, his refusal to respond to your affectionate texts ought to teach ya to stop poking around. Pluto/Scorpio heavy people have a tendency to leave no stone unturned, often because they lack trust (often due to past betrayals) and expect to be burned. But don't you see how it can feel invasive if you're on the other end?

If you're feeling suspicious in the future, just be upfront about it! Don't go looking for clues.

Sagittarius man is not giving Taurus woman what she needs emotionally

Sonia27 provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
I am struggling with whether to continue a relationship with a Sag man who is not giving me what I need emotionally but whenever I try to break it off it hurts too much and I end up going back. He is a good guy overall, he is loyal and wants a long term commitment with me, but he can be very demeaning in the way he talks to me and doesn't seem to care how much he hurts me. Should I go through the pain of letting him go or keep trying?
Do you ever get what you need emotionally? Your boyfriend is not the problem, just another symptom.

You have a Mutable Grand Cross, which means that you have planets in mutable signs (Venus in Gemini, Saturn in Virgo, Neptune in Sagittarius, Moon in Pisces) that are all making hard aspects (90-degree square or 180-degree opposition) to each other. Most notable in this configuration is a Saturn-Moon opposition, which relates to difficulty getting your emotional needs met. The Moon concerns feelings, nurturance, a sense of belonging ... of being embraced like a child by her mother. Saturn restricts the fulfillment of whatever planet He aspects. The ringed planet imposes delays and obstacles to creating that "at home" feeling you crave.

This experience is likely due to a sense of abandonment by a parental figure, and this interpretation is accentuated by these planets' placement in the 4th and 10th houses of your chart, which are associated with mother and father. (By the way, Saturn symbolizes the harsh father, and Moon the nurturing mother.) As a result of your childhood trauma, you are drawn to people who "help" you replicate your original wound. In psychoanalysis, this is called the repetition compulsion, in which, as an adult, you repeat patterns with other adults who are like one of your parents, so that you can hopefully "resolve" the original conflict. Saturn rules your 7th House of Partnership, also strengthening this pattern.

Although I do not usually give flat-out advice, I think you should let this guy go. Unless he grows up, he will continue to be demeaning, and you deserve more than that. Transiting Pluto is approaching an opposition to your natal Venus, supporting a breakup. Pain will accompany the end of your relationship, and Pluto will bring to the surface any unconscious material about feeling undervalued (Venus in the 12th). Now is an opportunity for healing, and this process has already begun, as Pluto has recently squared your natal Moon. Find the support of good friends to help you through the turmoil, and so that you can be accountable to them when you lose your resolve to maintain your distance from your Sag man.

How To Break Up With A Fire Sign (Part 1 of the Breaking Up Series)

Jara aka BlahBlah writes for 'Seduction Central' on Saturdays. (Thanks, Jeff!)

Disclaimer: This blog entry is for humorous and educational purposes only. Adhere to the following advice at your own risk.

Yes, breaking up is hard to do. And it's so much harder when your soon-to-be-ex is an amusing Aries, a lovely Leo, or a smart Sagittarius. If you've ever dated fire signs, then you know that breaking up with them is nearly impossible, especially if they don't want to break up with you. In that case, they'll pull out all the stops to win you back, which can be a very tempting proposition for you. Assuming you're truly ready to move on from your Aries, Leo or Sagittarius, you'll need all the help you can get to make the breakup stick. Here's a guide to initiating (and surviving) a breakup with a fire sign.

The Break-Up Strategy

Breaking up with an Aries requires some foresight (not a trait that Aries is known for having, by the way). Without a plan of action, the probability of getting pulled into a knock-down, drag-out fight is very high if Aries even suspects for one second that you're voluntarily walking away from the relationship first (keyword with Aries). The least painful tactic (for you) is to convince Aries that it's his or her idea to break up with you. Become the antithesis of what Aries respects: a lazy, unfocused and indecisive coward. To make sure the breakup sticks, adopt a new pessimistic outlook on life. Whenever Aries comes to you excited about a brand new venture, point out all the reasons why the venture is the worst idea in the history of ideas. Make sure to point out flaws in Aries' plan only ONCE, though, because repeating yourself will signal to Aries that an argument is on the horizon. Naturally, an argument may turn Aries on and lead to some break-up-to-make-up sex. If that happens, you'll have to start all over from scratch, except now Aries thinks you're playing the "Breakup Game" as foreplay for another enthusiastic sex session.

Leo is a very loyal sign, so breaking up can be extra tricky. In order to escape from Leo unscathed, you must commit to putting aside your ego for the greater good of the breakup. As with Aries, the goal here is to get Leo to break up with you. There are two surefire ways to having a relatively stress-free parting with a Leo:

1.) Go light on the praise and remove the words "thank you" from your vocabulary, but lay the criticism on heavy (especially in front of someone Leo admires)

AND/OR

2.) Convince Leo you're not worthy of being in the relationship.

Examples of tactic #2 include getting demoted (or better yet, fired) for doing something Leo can't put a positive spin on or being seen in public looking significantly less groomed than normal (or as Leo expects). The beauty of convincing Leo you're unworthy is that you'll just be confirming what Leo already thinks, so this will be very easy. The exception is if you're a super, duper great catch (to Leo). In that case, don't bother with #2 because Leo will just hang onto the relationship even tighter. The worst thing you can do at this point is raise Leo's suspicions that a dumping is around the corner or those paws will dig in and the Lion or Lioness will refuse to be "convinced" that breaking up is for the best. When all else fails, cease all forms of physical affection and that will have the Leo sealing the breakup deal faster than you can spell G-E-T L-O-S-T.

Since Sagittarius appreciates and respects honesty, you can breakup with Sagittarius using a straightforward approach. Luckily, the famous Sagittarius sense of humor will go a long way in helping a breakup remain amicable. Sagittarius may have even been contemplating whether he or she really likes being in the relationship in the first place. This, of course, makes your job a lot easier. Sag may try to find out the reason behind your decision if the relationship is a good one to him or her. He or she will most likely play things cool by cracking some jokes about how they'll catch you in the next lifetime. To a Sag's way of thinking, the breakup provided food for thought, another life lesson learned, and yet another friend to add to his or her ever-expanding collection of buddies.

The Ex-Files

Unless you have extremely compatible personalities, don't expect to be friends with Aries after the relationship ends. As a matter of fact, don't be surprised if Aries deals with the breakup by auditioning new admirers as your replacement immediately after your breakup.

Leo makes a wonderful ex if allowed to save face during the breakup. The benefits of Leo as an ex is that his or her benevolent nature almost guarantees that you will receive help in your times of need (especially if you two share any children).

Sagittarius rarely dwells on the past, so there is great potential for you and your Sagittarius ex to be best friends even after the breakup (but only if you dealt with the situation honestly).

How has your relationship with an Aries, a Leo or a Sagittarius ended? Did the end of your relationship with a fire sign leave you feeling extinguished or ablaze?

What happens to a Sagittarius woman after she gets hurt?

sagittariusIf there's one positive attribute of mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces), it's that they let go easily. Sagittarius, being a fire sign as well, may make a big display of her emotions, but she won't hold on to her hurt for very long. In fact, she may take the high ground -- Sagittarius is ruled by moralistic Jupiter, which is more interested in principles and ethics than who did what to whom. Unfortunately, Jupiter can be arrogant, so it's not uncommon for the Sagittarius to think that she's superior to the person who hurt her. Any forgiveness of the offender may come along with a nice dose of condescension. (See How to get a Sagittarius to forgive you.)

Perhaps the biggest danger of hurting a Sagittarius is that she won't want to stick around any longer. Born under the sign of freedom and adventure, she may not want to go through the trouble of working out any problems. It depends, of course, on how she was hurt -- a threat to her need for space is worse than an insult to her cooking.

A special exception would be a Sagittarius woman with Venus in Scorpio. If you've hurt her, lock all your doors, take down your social networking profiles, and disconnect your phone.

Is Taurus woman wasting her time with a Sagittarius man?

Staci provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
I am currently dating a Sag male and I am a Taurian female. Having suffered the "bad boys" early in life as many Taurian females do - I'm gun shy now. But this Sag male seems very genuine, sincere, and brutaly honest. Problem? Everything I read states HUGE incompatibility issues here. His Venus is in Libra and mine is in Aries. We get along smashingly and he's the only guy that's ever been incredibly honest with me - which I love. I give him his much needed freedom in return for his honesty. But is this an ultimate waste of my time?
You get along smashingly ... why would I want to discourage you? Besides, a Sagittarius man would meet your fantasies and ideals, as you have Neptune and Jupiter in this sign. In fact, the traditional ruler of your Pisces Descendant (7th House of Partnership) is Jupiter, dignified in the sign He rules -- an indication of what attracts you in a partner.

Your dreamy, inspired Jupiter-Neptune conjunction sits on your IC, the 4th House of Domestic and Family Life. You may indeed feel "at home" with your boyfriend.

Also, your Sun is in the Ninth House, which is naturally associated with Jupiter and Sagittarius. You need to express your Taurean self in the Sagittarian realm, which may mean you two can enjoy similar pursuits.

You have Venus, Moon and Mercury in Aries, a fire sign that gets along splendidly with Sagittarius. Your aggressive planets complement your boyfriend's more diplomatic and indecisive Venus in Libra. At times, this polarity will provide a welcome balance in energies. At other times, you may get on each other's nerves ... but who doesn't fight now and then? In addition, your Uranus in Libra may help awaken his inner artist.

A Taurus only believes what she sees, while a Sagittarius grooves on philosophies that defy the logic of science. Inevitably, tension will ensue when he takes risks that trigger your fear response, or when your resistance to change conflicts with his adventuresome spirit. However, you're giving him his much-needed freedom, and his honesty helps you feel secure, so it looks like this relationship is working out just fine. Ignore the textbooks and go with your heart.

Sagittarius woman does not want to be bothered with Pisces woman

Kali provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
i am a female interested in a female sagittarius sun, gemini rising, and pisces moon. Things were going good and she suddenly changed and didn't want to be bothered with me anymore. are we compatible?
Your female interest is highly mutable, meaning that her Ascendant, Moon and Sun are all in signs known for being mental, disseminating, flexible. Mutable signs are not stubborn like fixed signs, nor or they ones to take initiative, like cardinal signs.

Uranus, the planet of sudden change and independence, just stationed in Pisces (apparently stopping its forward motion to move backwards in the sky) this past Saturday. Because Uranus is transiting through a mutable sign, it is making "hard aspects" to your girlfriend's Rising sign and Sun sign. Uranus is definitely conjunct your Pisces Sun, and is in the sign of her Moon.

You're going through a period of awakening and revolution throughout the year, with this outer planet challenging you to shake up whatever has been stuck in your solar self-expression. Your highly mutable friend may have Uranus transiting all three points -- her Ascendant, Sun and Moon. This could bring on such a level of instability and recklessness that predictability will not be her strong suit. All she may be thinking about is her need for independence.

It may not be about you -- you just happen to be around.

Her Pisces Moon conjunct your Pisces Sun makes for a good connection. The Gemini and Sag don't mix well with either your Cancer Ascendant and Moon, or your Pisces Sun.

I would advise you to just give her time and space, and see if she comes around after Uranus runs its course.

Sagittarian Woman in Love with an Aries Man and a Virgo Man

ariesvirgosagittariusNestle asks,
Who is more compatible with a Sagittarian Woman - an Aries man or a Virgo man? I have been involved with the Virgo for about 7 years off and on; I recently met the Aries (about 2 years ago) but feel more in sync with the Aries. Is this possible?
Yes, it's quite possible. Both Sagittarius and Aries are fire signs, which make a 120-degree angle (or "trine") to each other in the zodiac. Fire signs are inspirational and spontaneous. Aries tends to be more pioneering than Sag, who spends more time in her head than in the world of action. Your sign is ruled by Jupiter, planet of philosophy and international travel -- expansion of mind and body. Aries is ruled by Mars, the warrior planet, who wants what he wants now, and is willing to do whatever it takes to get it, regardless of how his actions impact others. Sag is more concerned with morals, with right and wrong, whereas Aries just plows ahead, regardless. But you both have spirit, and have a similar outgoing nature.

Virgo, on the other hand, is a pragmatic earth sign, and makes a 90-degree angle (or "square") to Sagittarius. As far as Sun sign compatibility goes, this is a stressful match. Virgo is careful and concerned with fine details, while you are adventurous and look at the big picture. Virgo's ruling planet is Mercury, the communicator, more interested in facts than ideas (Jupiter's domain). Virgo dips his toe into the water to make sure it's the right temperature; you dive right in.

Leo woman wants to know if Sagittarius man is losing interest

Golden1 provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
I've been with my boyfriend for a little over a year and things aren't as hot and heavy or passionate as they used to be. I think he's losing interest. He sometimes tells me things that hurt and I know that Sagittarius' have diarrhea of the mouth, unintentionally hurting delicate feelings but I wanna know if this is one sign that he's losing interest. I'm in love with him and I want him to be a part of my future. Please help me to figure out my suspicions. His Venus is in Scorpio and his Mars is in Pisces. Thank You.
Transiting Saturn -- planet of harship and woe -- has been conjunct your Leo Sun all year. You're feeling pretty down, I imagine, as this planet squashes your vitality and wounds your pride. You want to shine and be seen as special, yet the spotlight has been unplugged.

It's hard to feel loved during a Saturn transit to your Sun. Self-esteem can plummet. To boot, transiting Saturn will come up on a square to your natal Mars, ruler of your Seventh House of Partnership, in August. Tension and repressed desire are likely outcomes. However, Saturn is the planet of tests. You can use this summer to assess how you express your purpose and initiative, and you can take an inventory of your relationship. Your Mars sits in your Second House of Self-Worth, so looking at how your Sagittarius boyfriend makes you (or doesn't make you) feel valued would be a good use of your energies. (And don't forget to value yourself, regardless!)

Sometimes people say hurtful things to push others away. Other times, they just lack tact. With Mars in Pisces, your boyfriend wouldn't necessarily be direct with his expression of anger. You may want to just sit down with him and ask if he's been holding anything back (Venus in Scorpio). Perhaps he's just scared of taking the next step, and has been unleashing barbs to see if you'll still stick around.

You have good compatibility given the limited info you've provided: two fiery Suns, plus two Venus-Mars interaspects (conjunction in Scorpio, opposition along Pisces-Virgo axis). Around September 2008, transiting Saturn will be conjoining your Venus, planet of love, in self-critical Virgo -- another round of tests concerning how loved and valued (Venus) you feel. If your relationship survives this transit, it will probably last.

Provide feedback to Golden1 in the comments section.

Gemini woman only attentive when Sag is moving on

K.I. provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
Im a Sagittarius and I have been pursuing this Gemini woman for months. Things are very wishy washy and confusing. But she claims she likes me and we're good and Im just "over analyzing". Why Does my Gemini seem to care as long as I'm not the less bit worried about her and on the verge of moving on? She then whips out all her charming and loving traits to get me back on her side.
Gemini is a sign of movement. It's ruling planet is Mercury, messenger of the gods. Gemini governs communication, transportation -- transferring goods from one place to another, sharing information between people. Gemini does not sit still -- it is not in this sign's nature.

As a sign that seeks stimulation and variety, commitment is not all that appealing to Gemini. When you give her space, you are more attractive to her. This can be frustrating, since you have several planets in Capricorn. You crave consistency, especially with your Moon (emotional needs) and Venus (love and relationships) in this sober sign. Yet, Gemini is the epitome of inconsistency.

As a former member of The Police once said, "If you love somebody, set them free." You can call on your freedom-loving Sagittarius Sun widely conjunct Uranus -- planet of independence -- to lure your Gemini back when your heavy Capricorn planets push her away.

Can a Sagittarius woman and a Virgo man make it work?

Lucy in the sky with diamonds provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
im a female interested in a male virgo...what do you think?
A Sag and a Virgo are usually not the best match. Sag is an adventurous, spontaneous fire sign. Virgo is a cautious, modest earth sign. The first likes the big picture, the latter appreciates the finest details. These two signs make an aspect called a square to each other, which means they function at cross-purposes. The one thing they do have in common is mutability, which means that they are each flexible in their own way.

Virgo would be a good fit for you, though, because you have Pisces Rising. Your persona, or how you interact with the world, can be characterized as compassionate and sensitive. At the opposite end of your chart -- where you find your partner -- sits Virgo. You are drawn to a man who is focused on service and function, someone who can take care of the mundane aspects of existence so that you can live in your imagination (Pisces) and explore the possibilities of life (Sagittarius). In addition, your South Node -- which signifies where you're coming from, karmically -- is in Virgo, so he may feel familiar to you (perhaps in a past life?).

Sag in love with three Pisces at once

Sagilarious provided a birth time (click chart to view) and wrote,
This is going to sound flat out rediculous. Here goes: I fell in love with a Pisces man (with moon in Sagittarius) for the first time last summer. He and I were separated, and I love him with all my heart to this very day. Five months later, I fell in love with another Pisces man. Well, this one cheated on me. Today, a Pisces that I have been attracted to for a while just told me that he is in love with me. Since the first Pisces, it has been only about 10 months!!! I haven't spoken to the first one since July. The second one, not since April. The third, since 4 hours ago.

What is wrong with me? Another detail....they are all Turkish. This could be some deep rooted defect in my personality. Am I flawed? WTF!!! HELP PLEASE!!!

Did I mention the first one felt like my soul mate? :( 2nd one's a jerk...third is too sweet to damage. And....I think I am in love with all three of them!!! Is that possible?
Transiting Uranus in Pisces is conjoining your Moon, which rules your Ninth House. The Ninth House governs international affairs. Uranus is awakening this part of your natal chart, and bringing these Turkish Pisces men into your life. This attraction to foreign men is mirrored by your Sun conjunct Jupiter in Sagittarius, as both Jupiter and Sag are naturally associated with the Ninth, and concern the world at large.

I don't see how an attraction to Turkish Pisces men is a "deep rooted defect" in your personality. Perhaps you feel uncomfortable with your attraction to Pisces because your Moon makes a 90-degee angle, or square, to your Sagilarious Sun. You have difficulty integrating your emotional self with your conscious identity. Habit (Moon) and will (Sun) are at cross-purposes.

Could it be that these men actually feel familiar to you, and that you are judging yourself (Sag Sun, Jupiter) for these feelings (Pisces Moon)? Your Moon sits in your Fourth House of Home, Family and Roots. And you would feel "at home" with Pisces because your Moon conjoins their Suns (at least by sign). Moon-Sun conjunctions in synastry are beneficial for long-term relationships. In addition, your Sun conjoins the Moon's South Node in the Second House of Security. Maybe you were a rich Turkish princess in a past life, and you've been trying to find your prince in this one.

How does a Sagittarius woman become irresistible to a Gemini woman?

geminisagittariusK.illa I.nstincts (a woman) asks,
Im what I call a dominate Female and I'm a Sagittarius. I find it hard to get some actual input goin site to site but u have my full attention. My Question is How Do I Get a Woman Gemini that approached me to give me the attention and time now that she has my full attention? How Do I become irresistible to her?
We are fascinated, yet annoyed, by the sign opposite our own. They complete our deficiencies, yet inevitably do or say something totally off-putting. Gemini and Sagittarius concern information and ideas, but both address them in different ways. Gemini is interested in information for its own sake, and wants to communicate and trade data, words, stories, gossip. This sign is akin to the school child who is hungry for learning, who devours books and incessantly asks her parents questions like, "Why is the sky blue?"

Sagittarius is interested in meaning. A fact is no more than a fact, but when you look at bits of information from a bird's eye view, you see the big picture. What connects the dots? Is there a "maker" behind these seemingly random connections?

K.illa, you write that you are a dominant Sag ... but how can such a fiery sign be submissive, unless to a Higher Power? Sag is the guru, the professor, the judge. If Gemini is the student, you are the teacher. If Gemini is the journalist, you are her editor.

Being in a position of authority is a mixed bag. Gemini will look up to you for direction, but will also resent your opinions given from On High. You will appreciate her thirst for knowledge, yet become irritated when she revels in the latest gay outings instead of focusing on the application of queer theory to serialized TV dramas.

So, to become irresistible to this Gemini woman, you need to listen (because she loves to talk), and be mentally stimulating. Given your enthusiasm for understanding the world at large and its various religions and philosophies, you do have stories to tell. Even if your adventures are limited to your hometown, your mind has been travelling, putting together pieces of the puzzle of life. The key with Gemini is to entertain and inform, but to refrain from preaching your particular gospel. She just doesn't care about the big questions, like you do. Thrill her with your brainpower, but don't get too big for your britches.

How to get a Sagittarius to forgive you

sagittariusForgiveness is an integral componen
