Should Taurus Woman Commit to Scorpio Man?

Jara aka BlahBlah writes for 'Seduction Central' on Saturdays. (Thanks, Jeff!)

(Disclaimer: This blog entry is for humorous and educational purposes only. Adhere to the following advice at your own risk.)

Venusianprincess provided her birth information and writes:
There has been this Scorpio guy that I have been talking to for quite awhile. We've known each other for 4 years and now, out of the blue, I am starting to fall for him. I have always kept him at a distance, but now I want to be with him and I'm scared that I will be hurt (he hasn't given me any reason for feeling this way, he actually treats me like a princess) So I don't know why I feel this way. I am 26 and he is 40 (a young 40). His venus is in sagittarius and his moon sign is in pisces. A part of me wants to go further (he wants to marry me), but a part of me wants to keep it like it is (because I'm scared). Any insight would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
Taurus and Scorpio are opposite signs, which could explain the magnetic, yet uncomfortable attraction you have for this Scorpio guy. Scorpio is a passionate sign that yearns for something deep. When in love, Scorpio wants to make a lasting commitment and know that you will always be there for him. This should appeal to you, since Taurus is an earth sign that also needs to know where a relationship stands. Your Venus in Taurus reinforces this core value regarding relationships, as well. But maybe your Scorpio's intensity is making you feel pressured...

Your chart is loaded with the fire element, which contradicts the long-term commitment valued by your Taurus Sun. Your Moon, Mercury and Mars are all in fire signs (Sagittarius and Aries, respectively). Since you don't provide any specific external examples, the overwhelming amount of fire within your chart could be the main cause for the let's-wait-awhile, commitment-phobic feelings regarding making the ultimate commitment of togetherness - marriage.

Your Sagittarius Moon dislikes the emotional burden of being responsible for other people's feelings (especially if they're complex). Perhaps your Sag Moon is intuitively sensing that your Scorpio man (with his sensitive Pisces Moon) will require more from you emotionally than you're willing (or able) to give. Not only is your Moon in a freedom-loving fire sign, but it's also located in your 5th house (naturally associated with Leo). Short-term love affairs and fun are 5th house concerns. In other words, having fun is an emotional craving for you, so keeping things "as it is" is your way of keeping things light and fun (are you catching the pattern here?).

Aries is not exactly the most relationship-oriented placement. With both your Mercury and Mars in this headstrong, independent sign, you are probably concerned about whether your man will be able to keep up with you or hold you back from doing what you want to do. Your fear could be the result of you questioning if the relationship will provide the constant mental and physical stimulation that you enjoy. As I mentioned before, boredom = no fun to that 5th house Moon of yours.

Having so much fire in your chart (your Ascendant and North Node are in Leo - yet another fire sign), you most likely have an idealized definition of love. You mention "falling for" your Scorpio "out of the blue" despite having known each other for 4 years. What Aries, Leo and Sagittarius all have in common is that they are prone to sudden infatuations (or falling in love, as they call it), which can lead to disappointment when the affair doesn't go as they expected. In your considerations of getting engaged, are thoughts of how past relationships ended making you less optimistic (i.e., scared) about the future?

In addition, you have lesson-instilling Saturn in Libra, which means you have some karmic concerns about relationships/partnerships. You have learned over time to take entering into and exiting them very seriously. Mr. Scorpio may get impatient with how long it takes you to weigh all of the pros and cons of where your relationship is headed, but this process is necessary for you to feel comfortable with your final decision. The upside is that once you finally make a decision, it will be a lasting one.

As I write this, the Moon is now in Taurus and Saturn is in trine aspect to your Sun. The next 2 days or so is a great time for you to take advantage of this period when you'll be able to exchange your foggy, rose-colored glasses for a level-head in order to view your relationship realistically.

With your Mercury-Mars conjunction in your 9th house of long-distance travel, I suggest you book a trip to a foreign city, state, country or continent for you and your Scorpio sweetie. This getaway will be a great boost to creating a safe emotional environment for your Sagittarius Moon to open up to your Scorpion about your marriage concerns. And who knows? It might also stir his Venus in Sagittarius (the 9th house's natural sign) to officially pop the question. ;)

How does a Sagittarius woman become irresistible to a Gemini woman?

geminisagittariusK.illa I.nstincts (a woman) asks,
Im what I call a dominate Female and I'm a Sagittarius. I find it hard to get some actual input goin site to site but u have my full attention. My Question is How Do I Get a Woman Gemini that approached me to give me the attention and time now that she has my full attention? How Do I become irresistible to her?
We are fascinated, yet annoyed, by the sign opposite our own. They complete our deficiencies, yet inevitably do or say something totally off-putting. Gemini and Sagittarius concern information and ideas, but both address them in different ways. Gemini is interested in information for its own sake, and wants to communicate and trade data, words, stories, gossip. This sign is akin to the school child who is hungry for learning, who devours books and incessantly asks her parents questions like, "Why is the sky blue?"

Sagittarius is interested in meaning. A fact is no more than a fact, but when you look at bits of information from a bird's eye view, you see the big picture. What connects the dots? Is there a "maker" behind these seemingly random connections?

K.illa, you write that you are a dominant Sag ... but how can such a fiery sign be submissive, unless to a Higher Power? Sag is the guru, the professor, the judge. If Gemini is the student, you are the teacher. If Gemini is the journalist, you are her editor.

Being in a position of authority is a mixed bag. Gemini will look up to you for direction, but will also resent your opinions given from On High. You will appreciate her thirst for knowledge, yet become irritated when she revels in the latest gay outings instead of focusing on the application of queer theory to serialized TV dramas.

So, to become irresistible to this Gemini woman, you need to listen (because she loves to talk), and be mentally stimulating. Given your enthusiasm for understanding the world at large and its various religions and philosophies, you do have stories to tell. Even if your adventures are limited to your hometown, your mind has been travelling, putting together pieces of the puzzle of life. The key with Gemini is to entertain and inform, but to refrain from preaching your particular gospel. She just doesn't care about the big questions, like you do. Thrill her with your brainpower, but don't get too big for your britches.

Can a watery Gemini woman and an Aquarius man last as a couple?

geminiaquariusAquamarine writes:
Dear Jeffrey,

Along your various posts, you 've seemed to consider that Aquarius & Gemini, if not star-crossed, are not altogether a match made in heaven. I'm a Gemini woman with Cancer rising, a Scorpio moon, and Venus in 1st House and conjunct Cancer, if that's any help... I've just started a relationship with an Aqua guy: conversation rocks even if we often agree to disagreee, sex is great although I'd like him to be more of a lingerer before serious stuff begins, the only thing is I find him way too detached, as he would be; but I've also read somewhere that a gemini with cancer rising is all an aquarius man needs, what with her gentle yet relentless energy to support and stabilize him.

I'd be super grateful to hear your take on all this. Do you think we could last as a couple, starwise of course?
I don't recall stating that Aquarius and Gemini are star-crossed. In fact, these air signs get along well. Unfortunately, you're water-heavy, which does not fit well with Aquarius. With your Moon in Scorpio and a first-house Venus in Cancer, you are focused on intimacy. Someone with Venus close to the Ascendant looks to her environment with an eye for beauty and love, and this goddess' placement in Cancer adds a romantic, sentimental touch. A far cry from cold, detached Aquarius, if you ask me.

Additionally, with the Moon in Scorpio, you delve deeply into the world of emotions, and feel most secure when you are intensely intimate with another. Another Aquarius repellent. So although your chatty Gemini Sun connects intellectually with the Water Bearer, many of your important chart factors clash with this distant sign. Unless he, too, has some water in his chart to orient him towards closeness, he may be put off by all the lovey-doveyness of your Venus.

Is an Aquarius man / Capricorn woman match a no-go for longevity?

capricornaquarius
I am a Cap woman with Cancer moon. Cap mercury and Cap mars, Sag venus.

My love interest is an Aquarius man , Aquarius mercury and Aquarius mars, and Sag venus. The thing is he can either be an Aquarius or Pisces moon. Not sure if he's an evening birth.

If not longevity, what can [one] expect from this coupling?
Capricorn and Aquarius do not good bedfellows make. You may be a woman, but you represent The Man: authority, restrictions, rules. For Aquarius, rules are made to be broken. Your love interest is a revolutionary, not a suit-and-tie.

If you're of the Uranus-in-Libra generation (circa 1968-1975), the ruler of Aquarius may be squaring some or all of your Capricorn/Cancer planets. This aspect would give you an Uranian vibe to counteract your more conservative CapCance nature. You would have your own internal conflict between the need to be unconventional versus the need to strive towards material success. How else could one explain your attraction to the Water Bearer?

In general, any two consecutive signs in the zodiac are as different as can be. They share neither element nor quality. There is scant likelihood of compatibility unless there are other chart factors to account for the attraction. If you're not Uranian, then your Aquarius must be Saturnian, familiar with the heaviness of your Sun sign.

The good news? Both of you are adventurous in love (with Venus in Sag), so ski trips and flights to Burma may keep the fire burning bright, as long as your dry disposition doesn't extinguish the flame.

Why Aquarius loves Libra women

aquariuslibraAquarius doesn't know how to "do" relationships, so who better than Libra, the expert on partnerships, to guide him? The sign of the scales is ruled by Venus, goddess of love. She knows how to navigate the rocky territory of coupledom, using charm, compromise and all manner of secret techniques.

Aquarius is ruled by Uranus. This outer planet is more comfortable at Star Trek conventions than blind dates sipping on mochas. Uranus is all ideas. Libra can connect to him on the mental plane without losing her human touch. Both are air signs, expressing themselves best in the social and intellectual realms. Libra may not be a space alien like Aquarius, but she can tune into his wavelength enough to decode his transmissions.

Why not Gemini women? Although Gemini is also an air sign, it is ruled by Mercury, planet of communication. Uranus is a "higher octave" of the messenger planet. Put together two thinkers and you'll have some good discussions, but not much incentive to make the connection physical. Some goddess energy is required to take Aquarius out of the clouds and into the bedroom.

How does an Aries girl keep a Gemini man interested?

ariesgeminiGeminiLover64 asks:
I'm an Aries girl, who seems to be a perfect match for my Gemini man. My question is how do I keep him interested in me and get him to propose marriage? By the way i'm 3 yr. older than him.
A Gemini man has a wandering eye and a fickle disposition -- what can you do to keep him interested?

You can start by not boring him. If he does not feel engaged in conversation with you, he'll seek stimulation elsewhere. Surely, as an Aries you've got the inspiration to at least start the momentum. You can begin with your favorite topic -- yourself -- and no doubt he will take that subject and run with it. As long as you don't keep bringing the discussion back to "me me me," you two should have a blast.

Frankly, I am surprised than an Aries would ask a codependent question like, "How do I keep him interested in me?" If he's not into you, there must be something wrong with him! Let a Libra do all the deliberating. If a man doesn't go along with you on your mission, leave him in the dust!

Also, "How do I keep him interested?" smacks of, "How do I compromise myself or manipulate my man to keep him in love with me forever?" All you can do is be yourself. If you sacrifice your authenticity to make someone else love you (if you can call that "love"), then the woman (or girl) your man thinks he loves is no more than an illusion. Leave fantasy to Pisces! Your job is to initiate the cycle of the seasons. If an Aries wavers in her truth, then the sanctity of the entire zodiac is threatened. You're the more active sign in this couple, anyways -- why don't you propose marriage?

Older Scorpio man, younger Capricorn woman

scorpiocapricornDo age differences matter? Traditionally, an older man provides financial security and a well-developed life perspective. He may also bring a sagging libido, a receding hairline, and dated pop culture references. However, zodiac combinations tell a more diverse story. An older Scorpio man may not ever lose his sex drive, and young Capricorns aren't really youthful, anyway. Cap is ruled by Saturn, the planet of aging and maturity. Capricorns are forced to take on responsibility and overcome adversity at an early age, making them more seasoned than their peers. The older Scorpio is unlikely to find a young Cap who hasn't thought long and hard about what she wants out of her life. Hence, they may both be "settled" to a similar degree.

The older Scorpio male is still prone to jealousy, imagining that his doe is eyeing males her own age. However, he can probably rest assured. Capricorns have been known to cheat, but overall they are a faithful bunch. Besides, she is attracted to her Scorpio man's power and charisma.

Overall, these two make a good pair. The woman may not want to take as many sexual risks as her older lover, but they can share a satisfying love life. If the man still has staying power, they can go at it for hours -- Cap is slow and steady, while Scorp has drive and perseverance. Put together this emotionally intense man and high-achieving woman, and who knows what can happen?

Gemini and a locked up Sagittarius

geminisagittariusIf you've got a Sag man behind bars, then his need for freedom takes on a different flavor. Perhaps you have started a correspondence, and want to know if a relationship is possible. Or you lost him to the law, and want to know if the romance will last.

A locked up Sag is likely to find religion or earn a degree. He's got time on his hands and nowhere to go, so he may study Christian or Islamic texts, and come to feel remorse for his earlier transgressions -- and not just because he got caught. He may study law to appeal his case or help out other inmates. The life of the mind is his only avenue for exploration, so he will do whatever he can to make the time go by while acquiring useful knowledge.

As a Gemini, you can support him. A woman of words, you may not always be interested in the big questions, but you can provide him with books, and enliven your correspondence like no other sign can. Your writing serves as a lifeline to a man who feels isolated. A Sag behind bars is a recipe for depression, and the only antidote is faith. You may need to use your curiosity about his interests to get him inspired to keep going.

Remember: He can't bolt if he feels you're hemming him in, but he doesn't have to respond to your letters or see you at visiting hours. But hey, you're a Gemini, so you're not likely to place demands on him, anyway.

Comment below: What other ways can a Sag be "locked up"?

How can an Aries woman and a Gemini man work it out?

ariesgeminiaries_gal asks:
I, an aries female (w/ a scorpio rising) have been dating my gemini guy (w/ a cancer rising) for a couple of years now..although we do love each other, we argue and bicker constantly, we seem to get along only half the time..we make great friends but am not sure if we could make a marriage work. Are we just not meant for each other? Are we just wasting each other's time..should we just just call it quits ?? thanks!
Both of you have water signs on your Ascendant. Scorpio rising can be secretive, and Cancer rising can be defensive -- different ways of protecting yourselves, as you are emotionally open to your environments. Using whole sign houses, you would have your Aries Sun in your 6th House of Work and Health. You put your pioneering Aries fire into keeping your daily routine organized, and may become easily irritated if the order you need is disrupted. I can only imagine that a relationship with a Gemini would make it a challenge to have predictability in your daily life, as consistency is not one of Gemini's virtues.

In addition to having Cancer rising, your Gemini man would have his Sun in his 12th House of Seclusion and Imagination. Not only is he prone to hiding behind his shell when the going gets rough -- he is also most at home by himself. (If he is a gossip hound, it all happens behind the scenes.) Being that both Scorpio and Aries are (traditionally) ruled by Mars, you are a "don't mess with me" type of woman, and when you get riled up, your Gemini may run -- not so much physically, but emotionally. He retreats into himself. Being a 12th House person, he's not as attached as you are to things being "just so," and as a mutable Sun, he is more able to go with the flow. With your fixed Rising sign and your Sun in the very particular 6th House, you are much more attached to having things your way. Your Gemini man may often be willing to concede, but if you attack him with your Ram's antlers and Scorpion's sting, he's going to either hide in his Crab shell, or complain incessantly.

You can't change your Gemini guy, but you can look at yourself. Ease up on your anger when Gemini forgets to re-file your CDs, and see what happens.

Who is better for a Taurus woman -- a Capricorn man or a Cancer man?

cancercapricorntaurusDecisions, decisions.

The question alone sounds like a pitch for a romantic comedy. Tam, a self-sufficent young woman able to hold down her beer and beat her brother at arm wrestling, is torn between two guys. Jack is a type-A Corporate America personality who wears three-piece suits and does power lunches. Sal cooks pastries at the local bakery, and spends his lunch break feeding ducks at Central Park. Tam loves Jack's confidence and authority, but she's totally sweet on Sal, a man who's not afraid to show his vulnerable side.

Jack takes Tam to a swanky uptown restaurant where he slips the maitre d' a few bills to get them the best table. He wants to fly her on his private jet to Madrid over the weekend. But wait! She has a date with Sal this Saturday to view 'The Dinner Party' exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. What should she do? How can she turn down this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?

You see, a man with money fills her need for financial security. Not that she can't make it on her own -- she's doing fine selling her clients' stuff on eBay -- but she's certainly not opposed to getting a nice diamond. On the other hand, Tam could totally feel taken care of by Sal, in a different way. She loves his romantic nature and that he would go out of his way to make her feel safe. Jack just doesn't feel cushy, you know.

This turning-point -- where the above paragraph plays out in a flashback montage over a catchy but sentimental emo song -- occurs near the end of the film. It's your turn to write the ending.

Which sign falls in love easily with Sagittarius and Aquarius?

sagittariusaquariusLet's play the "process of elimination" game:
  • Discard all earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) and water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) signs, because they're all discordant with air (Aquarius) and fire (Sagittarius).
  • Discard Gemini and Leo. Gemini opposes Sagittarius, and Leo opposes Aquarius. Opposites may attract, but who needs the stress? As April Elliott Kent writes about opposite signs, "spending time with someone whose approach to life is completely opposite your own can be draining, ... and eventually your relationship battery will need to be recharged."
  • That leaves us with Aries and Libra. Both make supportive angles (sextile and trine) to Sagittarius and Aquarius. There's mucho compatibility, and little friction.
  • Who falls in love more easily? Libra, of course. Not that fiery Aries is incapable of love -- far from it. But Libra is the love sign, ruled by relationship goddess Venus and associated with the 7th House of Marriage.
Love is not this logical, of course. If you fall for the Archer and Water Bearer and are not a Libra, comment below.

Should Virgo woman take friendship with Cancer man to the next level?

virgocancerMiss Worried Virgo writes:
OK so its resorted to this. Me Miss Virgo, just recently started dating a Cancer man. We have been long time friends but the romantic connection is so very strong, at least for me anyway. Talk about romance. He knows exactly what to say and do. He broke up with some one about 3 months ago. He went so far as to change his phone numbers and moved and doesnt care that she cant reach him. I knew she hurt him because he would come crying to me to often. Never in a million years did I think we would be dating!!! At times he can get moody and the predictable Virgo that I am cant take those mood swings. This is sort of weird because we were friends first and never in a million years did I think we would be going out on dates. He knew my boyfriend and I knew his girlfriend. I dont want to ruin our friendship by going to the next level in the relationship but he is persistant and I must admit that I am willing. Should I just call it off now to save our friendship? The thought of him being with some one else would kill me however, even though we have never been sexually involved.
Friendships are sacred, but romantic relationships are even more rare. I know you are being cautious, as is Virgo's inclination. However, you only live once. (At least in your current body!)

Virgo-Cancer is a fine combination. You may analyze your feelings more than necessary while he wallows in his moods, but you both share a risk-averse nature that will keep you tied to the work-home routine, without too much disruption.

Be careful, though. Cancer can get defensive, and if he completely shut out his ex to the point of moving and changing his number, what's to say he may not do the same to you if he feels sufficiently wounded? Cancer is ruled by the habitual Moon and serves his past -- he may be a slave to old patterns that are hard to shake. Virgo has been known to nitpick, and the Crab may be too sensitive to bear too much criticism. Harp on him too much, and he'll retreat into his shell. After that, you won't be able to reach him on his cell.

Is a Sagittarius woman or a Pisces woman better for an Aquarius man?

sagittariusaquariuspiscesThe Aquarian man needs an outgoing woman, and preferably one who can challenge his mind. The Archer, in addition to sharing Aquarius' need for freedom, is at heart a philosopher. Ruled by expansive Jupiter, the Sagittarian woman loves to explore -- geographically, academically, theologically. An inspirational fire sign, she uses her pulpit to convert her congregation to some pretty high falootin' idears. And who loves idears more than Aquarius? Aquarius breathes thought, being the airiest of the air signs. If grand theories about the nature of the universe could be served in liquid form, he'd be hanging out by the bar, waiting for the Sag woman of his dreams to engage him in Socratic dialogues.

Although the Pisces woman likes to drink, she imbibes one part dreams and two parts music, nursing a concoction so hazy that no bartender knows how to mix it. Philosophies and theories don't make her mouth water -- rather, visions of losing herself in oceanic bliss-states are her sustenance. How could an Aquarius man possibly connect with a woman whose mind goes beyond even the most abstract of equations, who creates images irreducible to algebraic formulas? He is more at home with a woman who revels in the diversity of opinions, beliefs and cultures, swallowing knowledge as if it were the only brew that could quench her thirst.

Should a Capricorn woman get her hopes up?

capricorncancerA Capricorn asks:
I'm Capricorn Sun and Cancer Moon, I notice I attract mostly Scorpio and very recently, Cancer. I enjoy the spiritual depths of Scorpio and Cancer. I'm also a homebody, extremely financially responsible and prefer old world customs. I'm interested in a Cancer Sun/ Capricorn Moon. Should I get my hopes up?
I can see why you would want a Cancer Sun/ Capricorn Moon. Having two Sun-Moon conjunctions in synastry would seem to be the ingredients for a perfect marriage. But how do you go about finding such a person? (If you've already found someone specific, and this is not just a theoretical longing, please ignore the following rant.)

If you're looking for, say, someone in their late forties, a July 8, 1960 birthdate fits the bill. Someone in their late thirties? July 17, 1970. I could go on. Buy an ephemeris and look for any birthday that has this combination -- or pay an astrologer to do it -- and then put a classified ad on craigslist.org listing all the dates.

You'll get responses (hopefully) from only those who fit your criteria. Screen them over email, go on dates, maybe go steady with one or two, get engaged, yada yada. And who are you stuck with? Someone much like you! What fun is that?

Not that there's anything wrong with the attraction. I've been drawn to Aquarius Sun/ Pisces Moon types in my day. (There's your roundabout answer, if anyone feels compelled to ask about my sign!) No doubt, a match like this can feel very comfortable. But there's something to be said for variety.

And if you've already found him or her? Work it!

Why is Leo attracted to Aquarius?

aquariusleoA Leo woman asks:
Is it possible to have a relationship with someone with a heavy Aquarian emphasis in his chart or is it a lost cause? I have no planets in Aquarius at all but I seem to be attracted to them for reasons that I can't fathom. Maybe it's that Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Libra? I don't know. Is it bc I'm a Leo Sun? I don't know but either way, that's my question.
Zodiac opposites attract for a good reason. Each axis contains two complementary signs that really can't function without the other.

Aries - Libra Me - You
Taurus - Scorpio My Money - Our Money
Gemini - Sagittarius Facts - Theories
Cancer - Capricorn Home - Work
Leo - Aquarius Performer - Audience (or Individual - Group)
Virgo - Pisces Organized Ritual - Mystical Letting Go

Leo needs a detached viewer to objectively critique her performance. Who else but Aquarius can do that? (I said critique, not criticize, Virgo!)

Your attraction is due to your Leo Sun, not your Uranus-Jupiter conjunction in Libra. This conjunction can last nearly a year -- it's not specific to Leos -- and concerns your need to experience expansion, meaning, revolution and independence in relationships.

In your chart, Saturn -- the ruler of your 7th House of Partnership (with Capricorn on the cusp) -- is in your 11th House of Friends and Groups. The 11th House has a natural affinity with Aquarius. This area of your life is bound with your partnership needs; for example, you might find a future husband in a humanitarian group with which you are involved. And who is more likely to spend time in these endeavors than Aquarians? Hence, this is another factor in your chart that may explain your attraction to the sign of the Water Bearer.

Is someone with a heavy Aquarian emphasis a lost cause? Not necessarily -- you just need to give him lots of independence and not expect much in the way of emotional availability.

Why a Leo woman cannot win over a Scorpio man

leoscorpioWhen a Leo woman casts her eyes upon a man, the brilliance of sunlight follows. Unfortunately, the Scorpio man does not want his secrets illuminated. Sensing that a woman is trying to get underneath his skin, Scorpio pushes back. If he is going to reveal himself, it will be at his pace.

The Scorpio man may even feel suspicious being the recipient of Leo's warmth and generosity. What is she trying to get from him? What is her ulterior motive? Of course, the Leo woman has no hidden agendas -- but she'll have difficulty convincing him of that.

Pluto is also turned off by Leo's displays on the red carpet. He is behind the scenes, more interested in the machinations of the film industry, not the glitzy surface of its starlets.

Aquarius Pisces mismatch

aquariuspiscesThe two final signs of the zodiac, both Aquarius and Pisces are not really bound to earthly matters. Aquarius theorizes about the laws of the cosmos; Pisces fantasizes about worlds unborn. Aquarius can perceive future trends and conceive technologies that may not be embraced for years. Pisces creates fictions that cannot physically exist.

Pisces doesn't even care about the boundaries of science, the quest to understand outer space. For Pisces, inner space is what counts. For Aquarius, laws are made to be broken; for Pisces, laws themselves are illusory lines drawn in the sand to separate what is from what most people can't imagine.

Interpersonally, these signs can't be more different. Aquarius detaches, while Pisces merges. The latter romances and deifies the lover, while the former finds intimacy too sticky. Think Neo from The Matrix, who can bend the laws of physics and overcome the boundaries between humans and AI, versus Agent Smith, who finds the smell of humans revolting.

Mysticism versus Astrology

Pisces will meditate to transcend the limitations of ego consciousness, and feel love for all sentient beings. Aquarius will study the heavenly bodies to understand the meaning behind events and personalities, and although she may achieve an "ah hah!" moment, she doesn't quite feel the interconnectedness of all things (As Above, So Below), as much as comprehend it. Both ways are important, but these two signs don't see eye to eye.

Sun/Moon sign compatibility in same sex couples

cancercapricornA reader asks:
I have a question about Sun/Moon connections between same sex couples. I have read that a great indication of whether a couple will get along well in the emotional area is to take the male's sun sign and compare it to the female's moon sign. But what if we are talking about a same sex couple? I am asking because I am a Cancer with my moon sign in Libra and the woman who has caught my eye is a Capricorn with her moon in Cancer. So my Cancer sun sign to her Cancer moon is perfect. But my Libra moon to her Cap sun is not so good. What happens then? Do we then alternate between emotional understandings and misunderstanding?
In a Sun-Moon conjunction between charts, the Moon is the "wife" and the Sun is the "husband," regardless of gender. Think of "husband" and "wife" as archetypes, bare-bones concepts that underlie these constantly evolving roles. If you two were to hook up, you'd both "lead" in different areas. You'd be the dom in the home front, and she would support you. This is where you shine, after all -- Miss Cap would depend on you to run that show. However, as a Capricorn, she'd assert herself in the outside world.

Overall, you two would have a strong emotional bond, and building a family (however you want to define it) would be important to both of you. Your Libra Moon does throw a screw into this Cap-Cancer, work-home balancing act, though. Why do you have to bring the issue of "fairness" into the relationship? Isn't it enough that Miss Cap brings home the fakin' bacon and that you steam it? What, do you expect her to do the dishes, too? I suppose with a Cancer Moon, she would.

Miss Cap knows what she wants; you can be indecisive. She can feel impatient when you hem and haw. You can offer a wider perspective when she's stuck in tunnel vision -- not that she'd appreciate you diverting her from her goal. Later, though, she might begrudgingly thank you for thinking about the relationship.

Overall, both of you have so much cardinal energy that, as a couple, you'd be able to get things moving in whatever area of life you apply yourselves.

Good luck!

How can a Sagittarius woman seduce a Capricorn man?

sagittariuscapricornI can only imagine a Sag falling for a Cap if she has her Venus in Capricorn -- why else would she be drawn to such a dry, old fart? Whatever area of the zodiac our Venus inhabits, we are attracted to the qualities of that sign. However, these two Sun signs are totally incompatible. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, and Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter. Contraction, expansion. Cynical realism, boundless optimism. Hard work with distant payoff, good luck and opportunites.

How can a fiery, inspiring and enthusiastic woman seduce a melancholic and conservative man? Would he be attracted to her Sagittarian qualities? Or would he be turned off by her arrogance, her inability to focus on details, her tendency to go overboard?

If this Sag woman has Venus in Capricorn, then she can lure the Cap man with her very own Cappiness. This is how she expresses her femininity, after all. She can be brilliant at converting the masses with her fire-and-brimstone sermons, but she can do it in a grey pants suit and low-heeled shoes.

If she has Venus in Scorpio, no one will be able to resist her. And besides ... she loves power and Cap loves status, so it's a match made in heaven!

Pisces man is not the one Libra woman is looking for

pisceslibraA Pisces man writes:
I have been trying very hard to get this Libra female, but she is always telling me I am not the one that she is looking for and is constantly reminding me to give up on her. I really don't know what kind of a guy is she looking for.

I am not a typical pisces, I have a high ego, I take initiatives, being decisive, refined and I am neat at times. I feel that my personality is more to a fire horoscope.

I don't mind changing myself to suit her and that is the pisces part of me. Therefore, I think I have a mix of both pisces and fire horoscope qualities.

I will really appreciate it if you could help me out on this and figure out what is on her mind and what kind of a guy she is searching for. Thanks in advance :)
You may well have some fire in your chart, if you're decisive and you take initiative. Aries immediately follows Pisces, and many Pisces have Mercury and/or Venus in this sign. And if you're refined and even "neat at times," you may very well have your Moon in Libra, which would account for your emotional connection with this woman.

Aries sits on the opposite side of the zodiac from Libra. In general, fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sag) and air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) get along. It could be your fiery nature that makes your friendship possible.

However, as shape-shifty as you are, Pisces, you can't meld yourself into the man of this Libra woman's dreams. If she constantly reminds you to give up on her, she means it. After all, she's a Libra -- she's doing her best to not hurt your feelings. If she were an Aries, she'd communicate her unavailability in a less-than-polite manner.

I suggest you cherish your friendship and search for love elsewhere. If you like air, find a nice Gemini girl.

How a Sagittarius woman can seduce her Scorpio man

scorpiosagittariusSag and Scorpio sit right next to each other in the zodiac, and astrological neighbors don't have much in common. Sex may be sport to Sag, but for Scorpio it is serious business. Sex is the pathway to intimacy for Scorpio. It has emotional meaning, and is not, as for Sag, just another adventure.

"That which happens behind closed doors" is Scorpio's realm. The dirty secrets, the stains, all the stuff we don't want our neighbors to know about. How can the Sagittarius woman possibly understand, when she is out in the world, drawing inspiration from travels or lofty tomes? She doesn't spend time in the dark.

Sag's planetary ruler Jupiter (Zeus) is god of the sky, living on Mount Olympus. Scorpio's ruler Pluto (Hades) is lord of the underworld. You can't get much further apart that that! However, these two planets do have one thing in common: wealth.

What riches can be mined in the sexual encounter? If Scorpio can be seduced by bounty, then Sag may be in luck. The Sagittarius woman can see the opportunities in the sexual encounter, and offers such a large number of options that surely, for the Scorpio man, something's there for the pickin'.

How does a Leo girl win over a Capricorn man?

leocapricornA reader asks:
how does a leo girl win over (or win-back) a capricorn man. i am in love with him but he made many mistakes and i overreacted because im a leo and now i fear his opinion of me is forever damaged. how can i burrow into his heart like he did mine or more importantly, why am i so drawn to such a cold person?
Your Capricorn burrowed into your heart because he's a patient digger. He'll work tirelessly to get what he wants. I'm sure once he got into your heart, he soaked in the heat for which his cold bones yearned. Yet what are you willing to do to reach his heart? If Cap had to burrow to reach a Leo's heart, you'll probably need an hydraulic hammer to break through the rock that covers his.

I have a feeling that Cap felt your overreaction was improper, or immature, and that he wishes you'd respond like a grown-up. "Working" your smile may not be enough. Capricorn will respect you when you act like dignified royalty instead of a petulant child -- both are equal expressions of the Leo archetype, but carrying yourself like a Queen will more likely gain his respect.
Addendum

Why are you drawn to such a cold person? There is no hot without cold. If you are the Sun, radiating warmth to the solar system, then Capricorn is Saturn, cold and defensive, shielding himself from galactic visitors with his protective rings.

Virgo finding fault with Libra

virgolibraA reader commented on Will the Virgo man commit?
It's the 'finding fault with me' that is a challenge...how can a Libra woman who appreciates balance, beauty, and brains be patient enough and strong enough to get through this? The Virgo man is kind, generous, caring, and seems to love me but he sure can get critical and grumpy sometimes!
I agree. It must be a challenge. Libra is ruled by relationship-focused Venus, whereas Virgo's planetary ruler is mental Mercury. Venus appreciates, Mercury analyzes. They have completely different ways of experiencing the world. Mercury doesn't care about making peace; he doesn't even have value judgments. Perhaps that's the key to living with his criticism: he's not saying that you're "bad," just that you're doing whatever you're doing in a less-than-efficient manner.

Venus can get caught up in concerns about her approval rating, but Mercury doesn't vote in popularity contests. If anything -- being the trickster -- he wants to upset the beauty pageant, showing it for the sham that it is.

Nonetheless, Virgo will do what he can to help you improve your chances of being crowned. He may do it by noting the rip in your hemline, or that your posture leaves something to be desired. He's not aware that he's hurting your feelings. The Virgo man is just trying -- the only way he knows how -- to help you win.

How can a Taurus woman impress a Libra man?
