Weekly Love and Sex Horoscope: February 4 -10

bird

Wednesday is a significant day, albeit not one for romance. A Solar Eclipse occurs in Aquarius, sign of groups and friendships. Eclipses occur every six months, when a conjunction and opposition between the Sun and Moon happens near the Lunar Nodes, points signifying karmic connections and spiritual evolution. Eclipses are times of profound change, and are often destabilizing when they "hit" a significant part of your chart. This eclipse presents the opportunity for new beginnings regarding themes like revolution, independence, humanitarianism and social change. Aquarius is an impersonal energy more focused on the collective than one-on-one relationships. In addition, Venus sextiles Uranus on the same day. The modern ruler of Aquarius is in a positive aspect with the planet of love, suggesting healthy independence in relationships. Enjoy your freedom, but recognize that the unpredictability quotient is HIGH around an eclipse in Aquarius. Anything can happen, so don't get too attached to preconceived notions about love or anything else. If you have Cancer, Leo or Libra Rising, this lunation will fall in one of your relationship or sex houses. Solar Eclipses are potent for about a year, and this one will get triggered throughout the year when other planets make angles to 17 Aquarius.

guitar girlOn Sunday, the Sun conjoins Neptune. Fantasy, delusion, escapism, drugs ... if you are in a relationship or are starting one, don't make any decisions based on what goes on a week on either side of this date, as it is difficult to ascertain reality when the dreamy planet obscures the clarity of the Sun. However, this is an ideal time to listen to your muse and to channel your visions and ideals into works of art.

That would be me, so let me get this straight...my love life is rotten for the rest of the year?!?!

Oh, and new beginning? Re-evaluate my current relationship with an open mind and understand through astrology why things happen the way they do. So I either have to bite the bullet and work with it, or walk away. I pick the former :)

That's the beautiful thing about astrology. You're given the opportunity to understand your "possible" outcome, it's up to you to decide how you want to tackle it.

I've decided that I will only wait for men who are emotionally available before jumping into relationship, hoping they will "reveal" themselves. I realize that in this western culture, it is more acceptable for men to be more sexually available due to social programing (boring - no chase for my aries venus).

However, in the past I tried to shortcut the game, which failed - having to choose between a sadge and a cancer, I chose the cancer as a mate due to his sign's well-known emotional nature.

However, though he was EMOTIONAL, he was NOT emotionally available. Though he was EMOTIONAL, he was emotionally SELF-ABSORBED.

So there you go. A man who's emotional, but barely care about how you feel.
And well, I'm waiting for someone who actually reached that intimate authencity in my life.

This solar eclipse is freaking me out
and now i'm afraid of what's gonna happen for the whole YEAR
esp since i have a Libra rising :( :( :(

what "new beginning"?
i would like to finally have a long-lasting relationship, thank you.
currently the longest time i've been with someone was like only for 3 months, and that happened 4 years ago.
Thank god for Astrology, i know what im looking for in a relationship, and it helps me pick out the sincere from the fake.

Yeah i'm doing the same thing too! No more jumping into relationships!
But sometimes it feels like someone will never come, maybe i expect too much..

This should be an interesting eclipse for me. It sits about 1.5 degrees away from the end of my first house. It trines my midheaven (Libra) which is conjunct Uranus and trines my Moon-Saturn conjunction in my fifth house (Gemini).

After the last few years... I don't know that much would surprise me in terms of happenings.

This eclipse kicks off my Chiron return -- Descendant 17 Aquarius with Chiron at 18 Aqu. Opposite my Moon at 18 Leo. No partnership here, nor any expected, so I think it's a healing time before I'll be ready for anything new (also have tr Saturn sitting on my natal Venus/Pluto in my 1st!).

Ok... I am new here and you all know SO much more about this stuff than I do. Nodes? Chiron??

Help me out! I want to learn and figure out what is going on in my world. I have so much change and strange occurrances.

Help!

I too have Libra rising, and the solar eclipse should hit my 5th house, which also contains Saturn in Aquarius, so I'm worrying that my love life is going to be rotten too! I guess my new beginning is to accept my man for who he is and to not try and change him into the man I want him to be or who I think he should be. Actually that goes for friends and family as well.

Leslee, we have opposing Moons! Mine is at 19 Aqu in my 6th House. Maybe my "new beginning" is changing my attitude towards housework.

New beginning? How about meeting the guy whos been reading my blog since it's inception, that I haven't met yet?! Too wierd? It's like we've skipped the dating already, and he knows he's ready to meet me. How romantic is that?!

As Scorp with Aq rising, my new begining would be meeting new faces. I haven´t had a date/relationship in ages!! It´s so strange being Scorp/Aq...so dettached sometimes...so intense others, but I feel this year I will fall in love...why not?

A new beginning for me would be to have any kind of relationship At All!

Oh well, the eclipse doesn't set off anything in my chart and is in the fourth house anyway, so I don't think that's changing any time soon.

I have a 7th house aquarius and a ton of marriage issues lately so it should be interesting and hopefully revolutionary in a good way! :)

Hey, good luck with that, Jeffrey. :-)

Maybe you should have a "report back" post sometime after the eclipse?

Wow, its amazing when life lines up perfectly with astrology, to the tee! Just before the eclipse hit I asked my partner of 2 years for a break. For a few months I've been feeling increasingly drained by his attitude toward me (aquarian moon ambivalence) and his denial of needing to start growing up emotionally. He started to recognize that, and is in the process of seeking therapy to deal with a lifetime of self esteem and self criticism issues. I want us to make it through this, just like we made it through my pluto conj sun & asc transit. Surprisingly this Solar eclipse falls in his 7th house, and falls in my 2nd house conj. my natal jupiter by 2 degrees. I have to start placing my values first again. Fall in love with the things of value to me. Get out there and socialize, have fun, make money, be a vibrant light. I hope that he on his end can heal his wounds and come join me. If not I wish him nothing but the best.

Greetings to the house --

from the artist formerly known as --Anon. Nod to Victoria, Jeffrey.

Sands quicken toward the Day of Hearts. Your indulgence, then, for a brief tale of heart’s intent. A gesture. New beginnings.

Upon time once, this small cafe, a beautiful Gemini suddenly silent. Slender finger tracing trine . . . between two cappuccinos.

His Venus, her Moon.

The Wall

On his birthday, Danny rode at midnight. The broad hilltop summit, past mansions, overhanging trees, shadow-carved swaths across moonlit lanes.

November. Two and a half months since Elyce walked. He could sleep now one night in three.

So he biked all night down dimly lit streets, long, twisted routes that vanished by day. Only a mirror of tangled thoughts. Dark labyrinth, the great, sleeping city.

But his questions were real, hard and unyielding as the pace he now kept, alone in the dark, even in the rain.

--Are you going to come back?
--Have you found someone new?
--Can I have another chance?

Miles upon mountains now rose in between, but maybe she could hear him ask. Maybe she could read his mind.

Cobblestone street, crumbling sandstone. A demolished church wall. He pulled in by the graffiti--swirling scrolls sliced by moonshadow, a night bird in flight.

Over time, messages were left in the cracks, prayers and notes for loved ones. A photographer told Elyce about it, and she dragged a grumbling Danny one night for after-dinner show and tell.

--Must be for people without email or cell.

She poked his ribs.

--Where's your sense of romance?
--Remember Padua?

Shooting in Italy after they met, she'd taken a weekend, the long route from Venice to the Basilica of St. Anthony. A Cancer Moon, she followed tradition, murmuring prayer, scribbling it on his business card. Pressing palm and prayer against the tomb. Folding, slipping it into a grey, granite crevice.

Elyce dreamt that night, asleep on the boat back to Venice. She and Danny knew each other in previous lives. Captain in service to the Catholic King, truly he loved her, a lady in the Spanish court. So she pleaded before he embarked to the New World.

--Journey to Padua, dear heart, kneel before the tomb of St. Anthony. Only your prayer will ensure our reunion.

In her dream, he does pilgrimage, though later, half a world away, he's nearly killed. But he returns and they marry, just as she awakens on the ferry from Lido.

At mention of Padua that night at the wall, he dropped her hand, mind wandering.

--You dreamt of the Conquest. What if I was wounded by an ancestor? Amazing, no?

She grabbed his arm--you have to leave the law, all the winning and losing is bad for your heart. It's in the stars.

--Then maybe you shouldn't be with a public defender. And I'm not having a heart attack, thank you.

She said that wasn't what she meant.

All these moments passed now, watching love flicker in moonlight like an old black and white movie.

Shaking his head, he rolled forward, fingering scrawl, faded mural. A man in blue tunic, hanging upside down by one foot, leg crossed behind the knee, yellow nimbus about his head.

Rush of wings overhead.

Goosebumps.
Whirling.
Peering into darkness.

Corner market, red neon sputtering, TIME -- TIME
wind rising, trees whispering.

He looked back, the hanged man's Mona Lisa smile, as if reading his mind.

Elyce said he always kept important questions to himself, as if expecting her to read his mind.

Patting pockets--no paper, no pencil or pen. He blinked back a tear, breathing words on his fingertips.

Pressing them over a crack in the hanged man's face.

Somewhere in cool moonlight, a bird began to call.

#

Eyes shining, she looked up and reached across the stars, a cafe table, to take his hand.

--For Annie
