Weekly Love and Sex Horoscope: January 28 - February 3
The big news this week (other than Pluto's ingress into Capricorn last Friday) is Mercury's retrograde cycle in Aquarius, which starts today (Monday) and ends February 18. (Mercury entered his shadow† on February 13 and leaves it on March 10.) For the next three weeks, messages get mixed and communications go awry. Misunderstandings are likely, so it is important to make yourself explicitly clear and to make sure your partner understood you correctly. You can best use this time by discussing old issues in a long-term relationship or by tying up loose ends with exes.
On Tuesday, Venus trines Saturn. The love planet is in Saturn's sign, Capricorn, and in a flowing relationship with the planet of commitment. Venus is taking relationship matters seriously right now, and is unwilling to put up with a potential partner who is fickle or unwilling to do the relationship thing for the long haul. At the same time, she feels cautious, and recognizes that certain tests need to be passed to ascertain the quality of a partnership. If all pasts muster, she's quite willing to cement the relationship.

On Friday, Venus conjoins Jupiter in Capricorn. This is an aspect of self-indulgence, in a sign of restraint. As much as you want to be careful with the purse strings, if you're going to buy a gift for your lover, it needs to be top shelf quality. Otherwise, you may as well not get anything at all.

When things go into certain signs, does it affect those with that Sun, moon, Venus or Mars sign? Or does it affect the "personality" of that sign, thus affecting everybody and not just ones that say, possess Capricorn?

OH OH!! When we had Mars Rx, it brought out all Mar's aggressions...so that said, does this bring out Mercury's aggressions?

@CappyCat, when a planet enters a sign that one or more of your planets are in natally, one must look at the combined meanings of the transiting planet and the natal planet, but only when the transiting planet is within a few degrees of the natal planet.
And Mercury is not inherently aggressive.
Natal Mercury is Rx, so I don't expect to have "deep" communication issues...the glaringly obvious is that I'm going to be spending the next week at my grandparents house where only one other person speaks english and the only time my spanish is good is when I'm drunk (thats not a joke)....not really good for grandparents to see. Haha.
You know, this is crazy...well, not really, but if I wasn't a true believer of astrology before, I definantly am now. I was having issues with my Scorp right when Mars went Rx, now that he's direct again...things have done a 180 and he's more emotionally responsive and attentive. BIZARRE!!
