Gemini woman has more sexual energy than Taurus man

Danielle provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
My two major relationships have been with Taurus sun sign men. However I am finding that what happened in my first partnership is happening in my current, My sex drive is to large for my boyfriend(venus taurus/asc leo/ moon aquarius), I feel insatiable and often rejected and as a result the communication and often my self is image is suffering. I feel like there is something I should be doing to bridge this gap and make things flow easier. I have toned down my sexuality but the less frequent sex is creating alot of extra nervous energy. Any ideas?
You have sexual Scorpio Rising, with its traditional ruler, Mars, conjunct your Gemini Sun. A Mars-Sun conjunction alone brings lots of drive and energy to one's self-expression. However, this conjunction is opposed by a Jupiter-Uranus-Moon conjunction in Sagittarius. Jupiter expands your sexual energy (Mars), and electric Uranus stimulates it, resulting in an excess of "nervous energy" if it is not channeled appropriately. Jupiter-Mars goes overboard, and Uranus-Mars is reckless, restless, impatient -- it wants to get off any old way, however unconventional or boundary-crossing. This opposition is occurring in your First and Seventh Houses, those of self and relationship, your needs and your partner's.

Currently, your progressed Moon is at 28 Libra, stimulating a yod (both Saturn and Neptune quincunx Chiron in Taurus, exactly conjunct Descendant). This progression may bring up wounds (Chiron) regarding your ability to experience sensual pleasures (Taurus) in relationship (Descendant).

In addition to being the ruler of your chart, Mars also rules your Fifth House of Play and Creativity. I think the key to siphoning off some of your excess sexual energy is to sublimate it through art. You're a Gemini, so writing could be one way -- but I don't think that's enough. Gemini is too mental to work off such biological drives -- you'd need to do physical activity. First off -- if you don't do this already -- trying jilling off. It should help you get by until the next time your Taurus man is horny. You could also trying working with your hands (Gemini) in some way -- to make something tangible (Taurus) that expresses the themes of philosophy/travel/faith (Jupiter and Sag) and rebellion/revolution (Uranus).

Sagittarius woman does not want to be bothered with Pisces woman

Kali provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
i am a female interested in a female sagittarius sun, gemini rising, and pisces moon. Things were going good and she suddenly changed and didn't want to be bothered with me anymore. are we compatible?
Your female interest is highly mutable, meaning that her Ascendant, Moon and Sun are all in signs known for being mental, disseminating, flexible. Mutable signs are not stubborn like fixed signs, nor or they ones to take initiative, like cardinal signs.

Uranus, the planet of sudden change and independence, just stationed in Pisces (apparently stopping its forward motion to move backwards in the sky) this past Saturday. Because Uranus is transiting through a mutable sign, it is making "hard aspects" to your girlfriend's Rising sign and Sun sign. Uranus is definitely conjunct your Pisces Sun, and is in the sign of her Moon.

You're going through a period of awakening and revolution throughout the year, with this outer planet challenging you to shake up whatever has been stuck in your solar self-expression. Your highly mutable friend may have Uranus transiting all three points -- her Ascendant, Sun and Moon. This could bring on such a level of instability and recklessness that predictability will not be her strong suit. All she may be thinking about is her need for independence.

It may not be about you -- you just happen to be around.

Her Pisces Moon conjunct your Pisces Sun makes for a good connection. The Gemini and Sag don't mix well with either your Cancer Ascendant and Moon, or your Pisces Sun.

I would advise you to just give her time and space, and see if she comes around after Uranus runs its course.

Compatibility between a Taurus woman and a Libra man

tauruslibraAs far as Sun signs go, Taurus and Libra have little in common, save their common planetary rulership by Venus. Taurus is a fixed earth sign that seeks security and stability. Libra is a cardinal air sign gifted at initiating social interactions and navigating the world of relationships. Match an introvert who knows exactly what she wants with an extrovert who can't decide on anything, and you've got trouble.

Libra will want to schedule a night on the town, but set-in-her-ways Taurus disagrees with Libra's agenda, leaving the Scales imbalanced. Libra kowtows to Taurus, but neglecting his original idea leaves him resentful yet unable to express his anger. The Libra man puts on a fake face all evening, which irritates what-you-see-is-what-you-get Taurus. Taurus holds on to her anger all night and isn't terribly adept at hiding it, which Libra finds uncouth in the presence of company.

The next day, Taurus doesn't want to talk about it. She retreats to the backyard and gets her hands dirty in the garden, letting the earth absorb her anger. Meanwhile, Libra goes out to breakfast with his best buddy and bitches about his Taurus girlfriend's inflexibility. Why can't they just get along? Why is she so intractable?

Libra comes home with a house plant and a chocolate brownie, hoping a dose of sweetness will make everything better. Not surprisingly, Taurus takes to both like a bull to bluegrass.

How to get even with an Aries

ariesAries is ruled by Mars, the warrior planet. This sign is also at the start of the zodiacal wheel, signifying beginnings, the burst of new life corresponding with the Spring Equinox. But that's not why you are here. An Aries man (or woman) screwed you over, and you want revenge!

Pulling a Saturn

An Aries man wants to initiate, to pioneer ... and what better way to get even than to stop him in his tracks! Saturn is the planet of obstacles and delays. Frustrate him by taking the wind out of his sails!

Anything you can do to throw a brick wall in front of him will suffice. Calling on an authority figure (ruled by Saturn) like a judge, the police or a boss will work wonders. A restraining order, some disciplinary action ... imagine how aggravating it will be for your Aries to get punished, when all he wants is to get ahead!

You can also burden him with responsibilities (also ruled by Saturn). Heap pointless chores and mounds of paperwork upon him. This will only work if the weight you've put on his shoulders has to be reduced before he can move ahead.

You can also take the air out of his tires, cut up his monthly train or subway pass ... anything to cause delays and bring on a tantrum when he realizes he can't impulsively get where he needs to go ... now.

How to get a Capricorn man to be more responsive to a Virgo woman

virgocapricornWhat kind of responsiveness does a Virgo woman want from any man? She'd want her guy to both notice the effort she puts into making the home organized and clean, and to help out in the maintenance of that level of orderliness. On a more personal level -- despite her modesty -- she may want to be valued for the attention she gives to her appearance, as well as the behind-the-scenes work she does to make everything run smoothly.

A Capricorn man is not likely to "tune out" at home like a Pisces, but he may -- after a long day at work -- sit on the couch and read the Wall Street Journal instead of attend to dust bunnies. He wants order like Virgo, but on a higher level -- the structure of organizations, rather than the structure of the shoe closet.

In his quest to increase his status in the world, he may not be so concerned with the details of mundane life, except to the extent that they help facilitate his ascent. He will, however, take pride in providing security to his partner, and as a Virgo woman can sometimes be a little O.C. (that's obsessive-compulsive, not Orange County), his Capricornian consistency can help reduce her worries.

How to get the Capricorn man to be more responsive: Suggest he host a business-related cocktail mixer at your home. It would have to be on a weekend, so that he can help participate in the preparation: helping you clean, giving you feedback on your attire -- he will, after all, be invested in having everything "look good." In addition, he won't be able to take for granted the work that goes into such a production.

A curious observation: Where are the questioners?

I've noticed over the course of this blog that -- other than one instance I can remember -- none of the people whose questions I have answered participate in the comments section of their own post. (One person contacted me via email.)

What's going on? I want to hear from you. Did my answer -- or the feedback from other commenters -- help you clarify your situation? Is there anything about the tenor of the discussion that discourages you from participating?

As always, I love feedback to know if I'm on target. But in general, your engagement in the dialogue would help make the discussion less theoretical. You are a real person, after all, with a real concern. I know you got my email alert ... so what's with the silence?

What is Gemini woman supposed to do with a hot black-eyed Scorpio man?

geogoddess provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
He's freaky gorgeous. Its like having Jim Morrison in my bedroom. He wandered into my life all full of privacy and black-eyed mystery, I would have sworn he was sleeping with several other women (well I was seeing several other guys). But he hurt himself at work, and came here; within weeks he had eased into a comfortable life in my house- moving his stuff in, slowly and methodically, first his dog, then his climbing gear... Eventually I had to tell my other guys I had a boyfriend. That was odd for me. I don't have any trouble attracting men, i'm an attractive green-eyed lithe woman. He is 10 years younger than me. If i let him lead in sex, i get exactly what I want: he nails me passionate & gentle and hard at the same time; yet i almost feel nervous initiating with this man. i'd love to surrender to him, if he is strong enough to handle me. I am a very strong and passionate woman and like my men to run deep yet be outwardly calm. He is chatty and funny and incredibly intelligent. He hasn't opened up spirtually or emotionally with me yet altho I see its there, yet there is some detachment. what is his dark side like? I am in no hurry, but will he open up? If I ask, he'll only say that I shouldn't get too attached, yet here he is. Actions speak louder than words. Is he falling in love with me but too reluctant to admit it yet? Is he here to stay? What does he want?
I wonder if you were really born just a few minutes later, because then you would have Taurus Rising instead of the last degree of Aries on your Ascendant. Opposite your Taurus Ascendant, you'd have Scorpio on your Descendant, or Seventh House cusp. With Mars -- traditional ruler of Scorpio -- in Taurus, you'd be attracted to a man who is deep (Scorpio) but outwardly calm (Taurus). Pluto trines your Mars, bringing a depth and intensity to a partner and your own sexual drive. Mars is also in a stressful opposition (180-degree angle) to Neptune in your Seventh House. Neptune is the planet of dreams and spirituality, contributing to an idealization of men, as well as a tendency towards seeing what you want to see in them. Add to this a square from Saturn to both Mars and Neptune (a T-square), bringing a sense of restraint, delay and inhibition, as well as a feeling of frustration in manifesting your dreams and expressing your desires.

Your progressed Venus in Virgo is just leaving a conjunction to your progressed Pluto -- an indication of obsession and powerful sexual drives in relationship. Your progressed Moon in Pisces will square progressed Mars in Gemini and then oppose progressed Pluto and Venus over the course of July, stimulating these energies. Your dreaminess (Pisces) will come up against your more critical faculties (Gemini, Virgo).

Scorpios take time to come out. The detachment of Saturn in Aquarius (in aspect to Mars) plus the hidden quality of Pluto (also in aspect to Mars) contribute to his slowness (Mars in Taurus) in revealing himself. Yet I'm sure the spirit (Neptune) is there.

The cynic in me wonders if this Scorpio man just needed a place to stay, and you're offering that ... plus sex. My sense is that come end of July (after the progressed Moon has passed her exact opposition to Pluto-Venus) you'll have a better idea of what's up, having had the clarity (opposition) to see how your sexual desires (with progressed Venus in your natal Fifth House of Playful Sex) inform your decisions.

Libra woman worried about compatibility with Capricorn man

mona provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
i met this wonderful man n i am in love with him. . we been dating like a year now but i been reading all these theories that libra n caprocorn will not matched. i am worry. my question will be what i can do to fortify thsi relationship
You're worried, based on what an astrologer says? Hogwash! Trust your own experience, mona! Astrology is just a system, not the truth.

You have Pisces on the cusp of your Seventh House of Partnership. Jupiter, the traditional ruler of Pisces, is in Capricorn in your Fifth House of Romance and Play, conjunct Mars. Mars in a woman's chart signifies the type of young man to whom she is attracted. Hence, the sign placement of both Mars and Jupiter correspond with your attraction to this hard-working sign.

Jupiter and Mars in Capricorn 'make' you productive and results-oriented, hence this aspect of yourself jibes with your boyfriend. Your Mars may even drive him to succeed, depending on the degree of his Capricorn Sun.

In a way, whatever challenges you'd have with a Capricorn man, you'd also have within yourself. Your Libra Sun's purpose is to find balance and beauty, to socialize and to please. Yet your Mars, which acts to fulfill your Sun's will, goes about it in a purposeful, pragmatic way, with little concern for feelings as he moves his way to the top.

Currently, transiting Saturn is making a square (or 90-degree angle) to your natal Venus, planet of love. If you want to fortify your relationship, this is the time to do it, as Saturn is all about building and strengthening bonds that are meant to last. However, to do this you have to let go of relationship patterns that weigh you down. It's up to you to determine what those are by doing an inventory of your current and past relationships. Looking at your love life seven years ago -- when Saturn was opposing your Venus -- will help provide some clues regarding how this current transit will play out.

Sagittarian Woman in Love with an Aries Man and a Virgo Man

ariesvirgosagittariusNestle asks,
Who is more compatible with a Sagittarian Woman - an Aries man or a Virgo man? I have been involved with the Virgo for about 7 years off and on; I recently met the Aries (about 2 years ago) but feel more in sync with the Aries. Is this possible?
Yes, it's quite possible. Both Sagittarius and Aries are fire signs, which make a 120-degree angle (or "trine") to each other in the zodiac. Fire signs are inspirational and spontaneous. Aries tends to be more pioneering than Sag, who spends more time in her head than in the world of action. Your sign is ruled by Jupiter, planet of philosophy and international travel -- expansion of mind and body. Aries is ruled by Mars, the warrior planet, who wants what he wants now, and is willing to do whatever it takes to get it, regardless of how his actions impact others. Sag is more concerned with morals, with right and wrong, whereas Aries just plows ahead, regardless. But you both have spirit, and have a similar outgoing nature.

Virgo, on the other hand, is a pragmatic earth sign, and makes a 90-degree angle (or "square") to Sagittarius. As far as Sun sign compatibility goes, this is a stressful match. Virgo is careful and concerned with fine details, while you are adventurous and look at the big picture. Virgo's ruling planet is Mercury, the communicator, more interested in facts than ideas (Jupiter's domain). Virgo dips his toe into the water to make sure it's the right temperature; you dive right in.

Leo woman wants to know if Sagittarius man is losing interest

Golden1 provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
I've been with my boyfriend for a little over a year and things aren't as hot and heavy or passionate as they used to be. I think he's losing interest. He sometimes tells me things that hurt and I know that Sagittarius' have diarrhea of the mouth, unintentionally hurting delicate feelings but I wanna know if this is one sign that he's losing interest. I'm in love with him and I want him to be a part of my future. Please help me to figure out my suspicions. His Venus is in Scorpio and his Mars is in Pisces. Thank You.
Transiting Saturn -- planet of harship and woe -- has been conjunct your Leo Sun all year. You're feeling pretty down, I imagine, as this planet squashes your vitality and wounds your pride. You want to shine and be seen as special, yet the spotlight has been unplugged.

It's hard to feel loved during a Saturn transit to your Sun. Self-esteem can plummet. To boot, transiting Saturn will come up on a square to your natal Mars, ruler of your Seventh House of Partnership, in August. Tension and repressed desire are likely outcomes. However, Saturn is the planet of tests. You can use this summer to assess how you express your purpose and initiative, and you can take an inventory of your relationship. Your Mars sits in your Second House of Self-Worth, so looking at how your Sagittarius boyfriend makes you (or doesn't make you) feel valued would be a good use of your energies. (And don't forget to value yourself, regardless!)

Sometimes people say hurtful things to push others away. Other times, they just lack tact. With Mars in Pisces, your boyfriend wouldn't necessarily be direct with his expression of anger. You may want to just sit down with him and ask if he's been holding anything back (Venus in Scorpio). Perhaps he's just scared of taking the next step, and has been unleashing barbs to see if you'll still stick around.

You have good compatibility given the limited info you've provided: two fiery Suns, plus two Venus-Mars interaspects (conjunction in Scorpio, opposition along Pisces-Virgo axis). Around September 2008, transiting Saturn will be conjoining your Venus, planet of love, in self-critical Virgo -- another round of tests concerning how loved and valued (Venus) you feel. If your relationship survives this transit, it will probably last.

Provide feedback to Golden1 in the comments section.

When astrology is used for reassurance

You meet someone nice, and make it past the third date. As much as you want to stay in the present, your mind tries to exert an illusion of control over the future. You want to know if this relationship will work. Is it worth investing your time and energy?

During bedtime conversation, you mention -- "I know, it's silly" -- that you follow astrology, and wonder what's his birthday. He tells you, but with a little smirk, as if he's just giving you his vital stats to please you, but he thinks horoscopes are bunk. Then, as you trace your fingers along his chest, you ask the exact time of his birth. "How should I know?" he replies, pulling back. Maybe your Mom has your birth certificate? you ask, putting on your best doe eyes. "Sure, I'll ask," he says, "but I'm only doing this for you." You show him your appreciation.

OK, enough astroporn.

Once you've got the goods, you consult an astrologer or run a compatibility report or look up how well you two match in your astrology cookbooks. But regardless of how many points you as a couple score, you just want to know whether he's gonna stick around, not whether his Saturn conjunct your Mercury will inhibit your words or spur you on to hone your intellect.

That's the problem with using astrology for reassurance. You can have the best interaspects (angles between planets in your respective charts) in the world, but that doesn't mean the relationship will work out. Nor does a handful of stressful interaspects mean you can't spend the rest of your life together.

Astrology indicates the patterns in your relationship, the meaning of the challenges and opportunities presented to you in the presence of this other person. To look at compatibility otherwise is a useless endeavor.

First, anybody can die at any time. You may meet someone whose Moon conjuncts your Sun, whose Sun conjuncts your Moon, who has sexy Venus-Mars interaspects with you. And they can get hit by a truck tomorrow. It's just a fact of life.

Two -- and this is a New Age nugget that I happen to believe is true -- people come into our lives for a reason, and they leave (or we leave) when the relationship no longer serves our growth. Sometimes you need a kick in the pants, and your current lover's planets drive you to get up off your butt. Other times, you need intellectual rapport more than fun in the sack.

We often approach compatibility with a fantasy of permanence -- that this man or woman will suit you for the rest of your life -- but there really is no such thing. And frankly, having a life-long partner isn't for everyone.

So when you run your compatibility report, approach it this way: What lessons can you learn from being in a relationship with this person? Where will things coast, and where will there be struggles? And however long the relationship lasts -- whether two weeks or twenty years -- appreciate what you have, no matter how long you have it.

Libra woman in love with Libra boss

bp provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
I am totally in love with my boss. I have worked for him for just over a year and I know he thinks I do a great job. We had a very near sexual encounter at the end of a company event in the Caribbean 4 months ago. I set out to seduce him and let him know privately at the end of the evening. We kissed, he led me to his room, and we ended up in his bed. But I couldn't go through with it as we had both had a lot of alcohol. We ended up falling asleep/cuddling together for the night and were rushed to catch planes and commitments the next day. He lives in another state, and we did not talk about it afterwards and I didn't see him (although we interact daily) again for six weeks. He continues to treat me with the same kindness and respect. He is a Libra as well. I want to clear this up, and want so much to explore things with him. Is he interested, or not? Does he think I rejected him? Is he holding back because he is my boss? Could he handle a relationship with me? Is he waiting for me to say something or make a move? What should I do????

Thank you so much. I am tormented with this.
You write that you two nearly had sex four months ago. On January 7, you had a progressed New Moon at 11 degrees 54 minutes Scorpio, in your natal Fourth House. Your progressed chart shows where all the planets were about 42 days after your birth, as progressed planets move one day per year. Progressions show your inner evolution, and when the progressed Moon and progressed Sun conjoin each other (a New Moon), a new cycle of growth is indicated. Being that both of your progressed "lights" (Sun and Moon) are in Scorpio, you are oriented towards Scorpionic themes: sex and obsession, for example. This progressed New Moon sextiles (a 60 degree angle) your natal Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, which sits on your Descendant (relationships).

Simultaneously, progressed Mars in Leo is moving towards an opposition to your natal Saturn (traditional ruler of your Descendant) in your Eighth House of Sex.

What does this all mean? Saturn signifies the boss. You are wanting to initiate a relationship (Mars opposite the traditional ruler of your Seventh) but are at the same time inhibited (Saturn).

Your progressed New Moon conjoined your natal Neptune. Neptune governs alcohol, and by virtue of its rulership of your Ninth House of Travel and Long Distances (with Pisces on the cusp), the Caribbean vacation.

Is he interested, or not? Dunno.
Does he think I rejected him? Dunno.
Is he holding back because he is my boss? Well, a boss can get in a heap of trouble for sleeping with an employee.
Could he handle a relationship with me? Dunno.
Is he waiting for me to say something or make a move? Dunno.

What should I do????
People do things they would not ordinarily do under the influence of alcohol. Things they later regret. People also do things they would not ordinarily do under the influence of Neptune, because they are in a dream world and cannot see reality in a clear fashion. Combine this with Scorpio -- sex and power -- and you've got a set-up for "About last night" scenarios.

This progressed New Moon was a trigger point, and possibly misdirected towards your boss. Occuring in Scorpio in your Fourth House, perhaps spending some time looking at underground family dynamics from your past would illuminate your attraction to an authority figure. Listen, I know you two are consenting adults, and this stuff happens all the time, but sleeping with the boss always has a "Daddy" connotation to me, but maybe that's just because I did training in psychotherapy.

Your progressed Moon is tightly conjunct your progressed Neptune right now, so I would advise you to to just chill. You are so much in fantasyland right now that any actions you take might come back to haunt you.

Just, like, meditate or something.

Does this blog's title make me sound easy?

I recall how I came up with the title 'Seduction Central.' I liked the alliterative touch. The blog attracts readers trying to seduce Scorpio men, so the title is apt.

But 'Seduction Central' sounds like one of those websites where you pay $99 to learn how to pick up women in three easy steps. Some serious, sober astrologers whom I respect won't link to this blog because it has a cheesy name (Lunar Tunes doesn't?). However, I still like the name. It's kinda provocative, no?

Comment below: What was your first impression when you read the title of this blog? What were your expectations? If you were to change the name, what would you call it?

Saturn-Neptune brings confusion to romantic life

Natalie provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
Everything has been confused, unstable, sometimes sweet, sometimes demented in my romantic life for about the past year. What gives?
The Saturn-Neptune opposition in the sky -- which is just now starting to wrap up -- has been transiting your Eighth House Leo planets. This house concerns emotional and sexual intimacy. Your sexual planets -- Mars and Pluto -- are here, along with Mercury in Leo and your Virgo Sun. The confusion, instability and sweetness you experience can be attributed to the influence of Neptune. This planet concerns the desire to move beyond one's identification with the small self, merging with the All and recognizing the illusory nature of boundaries. This mystically-inclined planet sometimes brings sweetness and light, but other times it brings just plain ol' delusion. When boundaries dissolve, it is hard to see the difference between me and you, between fantasy and reality. One's "ground" dissolves, one cannot see clearly.

Add to this the influence of Saturn, the boundary-maker. The structures Saturn builds are worn down by Neptune's streams. The god of pragmatism bursts Neptune's bubble of idealism and fantasy, leading to total disillusionment.

Apply all this to the depths of closeness you experience in a romantic relationship, and you are bound to eventually feel demented! Fortunately, Saturn will be leaving Leo this fall, although it's conjunction to your Sun and opposition to your Pisces Moon will bring some serious gravity to your life. And slow-moving Neptune's opposition to the rest of your Eighth House planets won't lift for quite a while. The confusion may continue, but you're less likely to feel the hardship in your love life when Saturn has moved on.

Are Leo and Aquarius compatible?

rcenigma provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
I am a Leo and I am attracted to an Aquarius. I want to know if we are compatible.
Signs that are opposite in the zodiac are naturally attracted to each other, because they balance each other out. The attention-seeking, generous and warm Leo is kept in check by Aquarius, the detached observer who offers his or her critique of Leo's performance with little regard for the lion's pride. Friendly but cool Aquarius is drawn to the fire and splendor of the king or queen of the zodiac. However, oppositions also imply friction. Leo's over-the-top displays of affection can be a wee too much for the water bearer, while the Aquarian's intellectual immersion in the sciences boggles the lion, who just wants to go out and play.

You were born during a Full Moon with your Moon in Aquarius, so this conflict between Leo and Aquarius should be familiar to you. Your own emotional detachment contradicts your solar magnificence. However, in synastry -- or chart comparison -- your Moon in the same sign as your Aquarian love interest's Sun bodes well for compatibility. In addition, your Sun is in the Eleventh House of Friends, Groups and Humanitarian Causes, which is naturally associated with Aquarius. Although you will always feel the tension between these signs in your own life, an Aquarian would suit you well.

Scorpio woman wants to seduce married Pisces thesis advisor

Scorpio provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
i'm a scorpio female. i unilateraly fell in love with a pisces married man. he is 8 month older, he is my ms thesis supervisor. i can't stop thinking of him, so i'd like to know what are the magic techniques to drive him crazy or seduce him even though he is married.
You like to act recklessly, and may not even be aware of it. A very tight Mars-Uranus conjunction in your Twelfth House of Self-Undoing indicates a tendency to take risks without much thought about the consequences. Your impulsivity is expanded and intensified by this planetary pair's conjunction to Jupiter and Pluto.

Compulsivity and erotic charge in matters of love correlate with your natal Venus's square -- or 90 degree angle -- to Pluto (obsession), Jupiter (idealism, exaggeration) and Mars (sexuality).

Boundary problems with men are indicated by your Sun's conjunction to Neptune, planet of delusion and dissolution. This conjunction also suggests an attraction to Pisces men, as Neptune rules this final sign of the zodiac.

Your Seventh House of Partnership is inhabited by Saturn, planet of hardship and deficiency, suggesting a struggle to experience fulfillment in relationship, as well as an attraction to authority figures. The ruler of your Seventh House -- which has Aries on the cusp -- is Mars. This planet is in Libra, the sign of marriage, and is conjunct (as mentioned above) Jupiter, planet associated with university professors, in the Twelfth House of Secret Love Affairs. Sounds like your thesis advisor!

Do yourself a favor, Scorpio, and leave this guy alone. Just finish your degree. Having an affair with a married man is no good. Having an affair with your thesis advisor is no good. I know I'm being moralistic here, but there's a reason some cultural taboos and educational policies are put in place.

Transiting Pluto in your Third House of Gossip is exactly conjunct your natal Venus right now, contributing to total love obsession. Moreover, it is squaring your Jupiter (higher education). If you're not careful, word can get out (tr. Pluto in 3rd) about your affair (12th), possibly undermining your chances of finishing your degree.

Cancer woman loves passive Pisces man: Should she continue pursuing him?

Pisces Mania provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
i met this pisces male who is eight years my junior and he is from another country to boot. love at first sight and despite our language difficulties we connected on a spiritual, emotional, physical and psychic level. never experienced this type of relationship before. but he confuses the heck out of me.
i could tell from his nervousness and sweaty hands that he was really into me but then he'd ignore my phone calls for several weeks only to call me out of the blue and ask why i didn't call more? the last time there was two months in between our inneraction (because he stopped returning my calls, i refused to keep trying) but curiosity got the best of me and i called. he got in touch a week later and came over. greeted me with the most passionate kiss ever and asked again why i didn't call more and that he was "waiting" for me. it's like he doesn't even realize he is the one being distant or perhaps he's good at lying. so, it's now been a month since we last saw one another and i left a message several weeks ago telling him i missed him and would like to spend more time together. of course, no response and i'm ready to walk away. is this typical pisces behavior? have read pisces are indecisive and live in their own world. how do i know to stick it out and fight the good fight or stop fooling myself? help! i'm hopelessly in love with this strange creature....
Stop fooling yourself. It sounds like this Pisces man wants you to be in the driver's seat, yet he won't even get in the car with you. You leave frequent messages, and he complains you don't call more ... plus he rarely responds. I don't care how much you love him ... he's not living up to his part of the deal. However much his feelings for you are reciprocated, his near-total passivity -- for which Pisces gets a bad rap -- is a deal-breaker.

You have Venus in Taurus in your Seventh House. Stability and a feeling of being valued are necessary for you to have a satisfying relationship -- neither of which this Pisces man is offering. You also have transiting Uranus -- planet of awakening and sudden change -- transiting your natal Jupiter in Pisces. This planet may signify your Pisces man, as Jupiter represents people from foreign lands, and it is in his sign. This transit -- which ends February of next year -- indicates a lack of any stability with regards to him. He may come in and out of your life with no predictable frequency. Do you want that?

You currently have the opportunity (Jupiter) to build a dream (Pisces) home or home life (Fourth House), which can help provide you a sense of security (Jupiter rules your Second House). I'd suggest you put your energies into bringing the best of Pisces into your life ... not the worst.

I need more honest feedback

This post is about this blog, not astrology, so only read further if you are interested in such meta issues.

I just found out today that this blog is no longer featured in Astrology News Top Ten Sources because readers of that feed were complaining about my requests for donations. I accept the consequences for my actions, and realize that my discussion of financial issues may be off-putting for some readers, or that -- at the very least -- readers looking at feed aggregates do not want to be exposed to anything off-topic.

I am not going to hide the fact that I have aspirations to one day earn an income from blogging, even though I recognize that the level of astrology discussed on these pages is usually not tailored towards those who gravitate towards Sun sign horoscopes -- a much more lucrative enterprise, however glutted the field.

I also recognize that discussing blog income on an astrology blog may not be socially acceptable. I read many blogs about professional blogging, and of course, many of those bloggers do just that to share how they succeed in making money online.

My stubborn Aquarius Moon in my Sixth House of Work and Daily Routine wants me to do things my way. I feel pretty good about the audience that this blog has cultivated since I started it in November of last year. It has become an important part of my life, and I have made it a priority to blog every weekday to build its momentum. I do not want to be shy about asking for support, even though my appeals may occasionally leave some readers with a bad taste in their mouths.

There is still a taboo about earning money through spiritual or healing work. I won't expound on this topic except to say that everyone deserves to earn a living doing what they are "called" to do. By virtue of answering readers' relationship questions on this blog, I am providing a service. I do not mind, as my answers provide content to the blog. Content brings traffic, traffic brings income. (I also like being of service, being a Pisces with Virgo Rising.) Yet, as the saying goes about sex, "Why buy the cow, when you can get the milk for free?" I am essentially offering free mini-readings, with hopes for the following results: that readers will schedule consultations with me, and that those readers who've had their questions answered will offer a donation out of gratitude. However, if they don't, they don't. I get enough satisfaction out of blogging that I don't stew in resentment. When I do feel that I am giving more than I am receiving, I ask for donations.

So if you want to vent about my occasional discussions about money, you are welcome to share below in the comments section. No hard feelings. And if you have any feedback regarding how to ask for financial support without alienating too many readers, I will be happy to hear from you.

Gemini woman and jealous Cancer man: Can it work?

Sandyshoes provided a birth time (click chart to view) and writes,
42-yr old Cancer man, never previously married, says he's simply never met "the right woman" before. I'm divorced and a single parent. We've dated 5 months and he says he loves me and feels a connection stronger than any he's ever experienced before. He talks about a future, he makes time to be with me and my child, he is sensitive and nurturing and sweet and the sex is superb. Usually I get hung up on intellectual types -- this man is intelligent but does not live in his head. He is very domestic and appeals to me on a level I've never felt before, very emotional and physical. He gives me butterflies and makes me feel weak at the knees. We are so different -- I am high-strung and restless (but a VERY good cook) while he is quiet and laid-back. Can it work for us? He touches me deeply and I know that I touch him, but whereas he is open to discussing any issues that arise for ME, he tends to withdraw a little and go cool rather than tell me when something has upset HIM. And he won't admit that he's jealous but I get the sense that he is -- and I am a very social person who strikes up conversations and gets smiles or greetings from complete strangers. I feel this makes him uncomfortable but he won't admit it.
Although Gemini and Cancer are typically not a good match, your Moon (which rules Cancer) sits at the beginning of your Seventh House of Relationships. You are attracted to a domestically-inclined, emotionally-attuned man. Better yet, an intelligent one with a wide perspective, as Sagittarius sits on your Seventh House cusp. The Crab withdraws into its shell when feeling vulnerable, so do not be too concerned when your Cancer man goes cool.

Jupiter (the ruler of your Sagittarius Descendant) is in Leo in your Third House of Communication, in a stressful square -- or 90-degree angle -- to your Moon. You are a chatty Gemini with a tendency to be the life of the party in social situations. The attention you receive rubs the wrong way with your boyfriend (Jupiter in Third square Moon in Seventh). In addition, you have a tight Sun-Pluto square. The Sun symbolizes the man in your life, and Pluto can be both secretive and possessive. You may have a tendency to draw controlling men into your life -- or at least men who hold their cards close to their chest. As long as this Cancer man doesn't try to dictate your behavior, he sounds appropriate for you. He may just have to deal with his jealousy until he feels sufficiently safe and secure (Cancer) with you, knowing that your flirtatious manner (Venus, Sun, Mars in Gemini) doesn't threaten him.

Pluto vs. Neptune: How do you process your emotions?

Since Eme Kah's recent comment on Integration and dangers in the process of healing Pluto problems, I have been thinking about how we deal with our emotions. From a psychological perspective, we learn to be with our feelings from our interactions with our mothers (or primary parent.) The mother-child bond is governed by Cancer and this sign's ruling 'planet,' the Moon. Your mother -- through her mirroring of your emotional state -- teaches you how to identify your feelings. No doubt, most of us are reared with less-than-ideal mirroring -- our parents don't reflect back to us our inner worlds, and we grow up not being able to identify or tolerate our feelings.

Of the three water signs -- Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces -- the latter two are ruled by modern planets: Pluto rules Scorpio, and Neptune rules Pisces. Scorpionic people process their feelings in a completely different way from Piscean people. (By Scorpionic, I mean having planets in Scorpio or strong Pluto contacts. By Piscean, having planets in Pisces or strong Neptune contacts.)

Pluto goes deep, and Pisces transcends or escapes. Scorpios are so intense because they dig into their emotions, turning over every rock, exploring every crevice to expose any unacknowledged feeling, image or memory. Due to the nature of being a fixed sign, Scorpio does not give up, and has the stamina to excavate its skeletons until there's nothing left to unearth.

Pisces, on the other hand, is best at experiencing emotions through art. Pisces is not an investigator or psychoanalyst like Scorpio. Rather, the last sign of the zodiac is a dancer, a musician, a poet. This sign's gift is expressing the ineffable through the creative act. Music, for example, is so powerful at conveying emotions that when we hear a song that resonates with our inner experience, it "hooks into" our minds and bodies -- we play it again to help us access and identify our feeling state. The musican "matches" what we often feel we cannot express through rational thought.

The dark side of Neptune/Pisces, however, is escapism. It is not a surprise that so many musicians are also addicts. The creative act is an immersive experience that can both be cathartic and exhausting. And frankly, Piscean types can easily feel overwhelmed by both their emotions and their environment, such that they turn to drugs and daydreams to dull the knife of painful affect.

Scorpionic types thrive on the knife, for this sign's traditional ruler is Mars, governor of weapons. The knife separates. The talent of the private dick or the shrink is their ability to differentiate between the clues that solve the case, and those that lead nowhere. It is the Scorpio who tells you to to cut the crap.

There is no separation for the Piscean. Remember The Matrix, when the bald child being trained by the Oracle says to Neo, "There is no spoon"? Well, there's no knife, either. Because Pisces cannot draw a line in the sand, this sign goes swimming instead.

The dark side of the Scorpionic person is extremism. They draw a line in the sand, and get so stuck in either/or that they totally embrace one side while disavowing the other. And as with any polarity, the neglected side has to be expressed. Scorpio goes all out in one direction, only to cross the line and forget where they just were, or they attract someone to adopt the opposing perspective. There can only be a power struggle when there's something to fight over.
