Scorpio woman with Gemini on the cusp of her empty Seventh House

Scorp submitted a birth time for the empty Seventh House case study (click chart to view).

You have no planets anywhere near your Seventh House of partnership. All we have to go with is Gemini on your Descendant, or Seventh House cusp. This means that, at the time of your birth, the sign of Gemini was setting on the Western horizon. The sign on the Descendant is always opposite the Rising Sign, which in your case is Sagittarius. Your Rising sign relates to your persona, your physical appearance, how you relate to the world. The sign on the Descendant signifies what you look for in a partner or a partnership. This sign balances out the qualities of your Rising sign.

As a Sag Rising, you are perceived as optimistic, inspiring, a seeker of meaning. Whereas Sagittarius is interested in the Big Ideas, Gemini is attracted to small bits of information. As Sag seeks experiences abroad, Gemini explores the neighborhood. If Sag studies Plato, Gemini reads Page Six.

Gemini is the sign of the Twins. With this sign on the cusp of the Seventh House, you may have two partners, or you may be frequently split in your attentions between two people. As Gemini is a sign known for being superficial or fickle, you may quickly lose interest in a partner, constantly seeking out someone new to stimulate your curiosity. You may also be drawn to Gemini types: writers, journalists, teachers, dexterous people who work with their hands.

For more information on type of person to whom you are attracted, we look at the planet that rules Gemini, Mercury. Your Mercury is in Scorpio at the end of your Tenth House of Career, about 4 degrees shy of the cusp of your Eleventh House of Friends and Groups. You may be drawn to Scorpios like yourself, especially someone involved in associations to which you belong.

Your Mercury is sextile (a 60-degree angle) Jupiter in Virgo in your Ninth House of Travel, Philosophy and Higher Education. This sextile offers a beneficial bridge between these planets of Large (Jupiter) and Small (Mercury), and these planets also happen to be the rulers of your Ascendant (you) and Descendant (your partner). This means there's a good connection based on curiosity and intellectual rapport.

Wow that’s weird. Who’s chart is this? My twin, almost, we should touch base and compare notes, see if we have the same hair style. The analysis of the 7th is interesting, but I also just started to look at the asteroids and for me I can relate to that meaning better. I have mercury in my 11th my partner will be my best friend we will see each other as equals. Now I could be wrong but I don’t take the 7th house and you will or will not be married, I take it more how you yourself view marriage, which of course can effect how you get married. So really it does not matter to me if a house if empty or not actually quite happy about that.
I would like to hear from the person who has this chart, I have found that how a person reads their own chart is a good way to learn astrology.
Here is some interesting chart reading; I have Gemini in my 7th, Jupiter in my 9th, and currently I am working with 2 attorney’s that are Gemini’s they have the same placement of Sun, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Ascendant, but they are different ages, I know there has to be some weird karma thing going on, not sure what yet but just can’t wait to learn it BLAAAAAA yuck oh yea my Vertex, Venus, Pluto are on a active streak starting in November going thru to February next year think I might meet a person that will make a significant impact on my life. Hey, maybe the person who has this chart will know these two Gemini attorneys. Does anyone follow Juno or their Vertex?

Thanks, Sharon.

@Sharon, I agree that the 7th does not indicate if you will be married, rather how you look at it. I don't work much with the asteroids, but it would be interesting to look at Juno (goddess of marriage) to see how that contributes to the understanding of a chart. Maybe somebody can write a guest blog entry on Juno?

Sharon,
short curly hair. :-)

JK,
Thank you.

I do lose interest! I have been married for 16 years though. I find when I get bored I take off with my gemini friend to regroup.
Being married is a struggle for me as I do lose interest so quickly. My temper is quick too which leads to my lack of desire to want to continue. My poor guy. :-)
I know he puts up with my constant need to flee. Thankfully I just take off with my friends for some girl fun. Also, my hub knows where my heart is, so no stresses there. He knows Ill be back. It did take a while to get to that point though. In the beginning, before kids, I'd take off for months at a time.
I've also learned to get involved in little things to occupy my mind. That helps a bit.
My hub is an intense fellow, with only scorp in neptune. But he has a packed 12th house (6 planets),loads of hidden stuff in this guy. He is brilliant, but behaves in a way that hides it. He is super creative but suppresses his desire to create. I urge him to do these things in order to release.
Thanks!
