What makes Sagittarius want to get married?

sagittariusIt's a bitch trying to hitch a wild horse, so it's reasonable to assume that one must appeal to the upper half of the centaur if you want to marry him. The higher mind of a Sag studies the religious or philosophical foundations of marriage. The animal self wants to just gallop off to distant lands and impregnate many mares.

Therefore, a Sagittarian's faith, his religious commitment, would be a primary motivation to tie the knot. If God says a man and a woman shall unite and make babies, then Sag will be the first one to jump onto the bandwagon. He's not a conformist, but he'll do what everyone else is doing if there's an inspiring reason to do so.

Not all Sagittarians are God-fearing folk, though. This sign relates to both the legal system and foreign lands, so obtaining a green card would also make him want to exchange rings. If he's truly in love but bristles at the idea of being constrained by a piece of paper, he'll do it anyway to keep his beloved in his country. Or if he's not really in love but his student Visa ran out, he'll exchange vows just so he can stay overseas.

Dating one right now. . .hearing and reading that they're pretty unfaithful - do you agree?

I am a Sag and I'm not unfaithful, but never say never!

I was friends with a Sag male for 8 years and during that time I found out he got married a year prior to him telling me. Of course, I was shocked to hear about his marriage seeing as he is the most promiscuous person I know. What were his reasons for marrying? Great tax benefits and his wife paid him to do it (for reasons I won't go into).

Was married to a Sag for 13 years, and dated him three years before he became serious about marriage. He proposed while watching TV, with no romance, (yes, there was some brief cuddling and kissing) at all! In retrospect, it seems like he only wanted to get married because all his siblings, friends and cousins were getting married and having babies. But he ran the streets a lot. He was resentful having the responsibility to watch the kids when I attended school, and worked a second job to catch up after a layoff. Later, my discovery of his affair ended the marriage. It took a while for the hard feelings to past, but we do get along better now for the sake of the kids. Currently having an off and on relationship with another Sagittarius who was upset because I refused to marry or cohabitate with him. I like him for his sense of humor, but he is just blunt, too emotional, and unreliable to get really serious about again. Next Sag comes my way......I will head in the next direction.

I've been dating a Sagittarius for almost three years now, we've talked about marriage and he seems open to it "eventually". He claims that he only wants to marry once and he's just about to hit 30 years old. Who knows if it'll ever happen but I think the major thing pushing him toward it is because his family and friends kind of push it on him. Feels like its his duty to eventually settle down.

Q: What makes men chase women they have no intention of marrying?
A: The same urge that makes dogs chase cars they have no intention of driving.

i'm a 76 year old Sag, and i swear to satan that i've never heard of this word you call "marriage"--is that some sort of disease?

I have been dating a Sag for six months now, and is the partner I have always dreamt about and longed for. There was some fear of commitment in the beginning, that was very trying for me. So I gave him plenty of space and let him come to me. It's important that he knows he has choices and space in the relationship. So far, it's been awesome because we have a lot of trust in each other, and he does hint at marriage in our future (he is in his 30's) even though it scares him a little. But I've been through a lot and as a result, I know myself well and got into the relationship knowing what I wanted but not being too needy. He is a very romantic, thoughtful partner and brings out the best in me, and when he needs his space to explore his world, I just get busy with my own friends and projects. It's a good balance.

It's important to know more about your partner's signs than just the sun sign, and other things shape a person's personality. Above all you must have trust, communication, and your own self-esteem to make any relationship work.

I'm a sag (moon and sun) and have3 been told i'm a nightmare to date. It's that, what do you call it . . .commitment thing. I'll be honest i want to get married but only once. So i'm terrified of making a mistake, which makes us overly picky and commitmentphobes.

Being one, I don't think we're unfaithful. Personally, I've always broken it off before sowing seeds in other pastures... Then again I'm Catholic so I need no more guilt! Seriously, though, we might have a wandering eye but if we really love you we'll only look. Based on myself, if we don't we'll set you free to find the right person!

i have a sag moon and im a scorpio. I think sag's are afraid of commitment but I think it has more to do with whether they feel fulfilled or not in their relationship. Not to blame the other partner. It takes two to tango. But I think they just realize when it's over before anyone has agreed to end it or made any recognition of this internal instinct and they act out on they're impulses. Theyre very instinctual and impulsive. It seems like they always have an internal knowing yet on the outside they come off as so naive and unaffected. Maybe there is something double sided to the sag almost like the gemini is composed of 2 twins, the sag has their high minded part and animal part like jeffrey said. I like that. It makes sense. It's not that they are like an animal that can't control it's urges completley, but they do have that side to their nature. I think they're special because they truly understand people in a broad and universal way. They also see the whole word in a very multi dimensional and deep way. Maybe they choose to let it go every once in a while just to not have to carry all the weight on their shoulders. But with their lightness there is also an incredible heaviness. Like a philosopher or deep thinkers heaviness, they are capable of carrying the whole world with them and are very in tune to the world in that sense. So what makes them want to get married?
whatever makes anyone get married. There is the social norms or restrictions of what people expect of you, there's also the other side of finding something real, something honest, and a place from which one can grow. So theyre not just conforming to their animal nature but can grow through/with another person. I think sag's are the embodiment of spirit if they can connect with their spirit through another person they just might stick around.
