Geminis are intrigued, rather than put off, if you make them a little jealous.
In my experience, with the men, it's essential that all of their buddies like you and think you're really cool and that you're spontaneous and never too cloying.
Be friendly and exciting when you're around the Gemini, but don't be around too much...play a little hard to get without ever being haughty.

I had a relationship with a Gemini for 1 1/2 years and he was very....inconsistent, I'll say. This suited my purpose just fine at the time. His inconsistent behavior definitely kept me intrigued, but I never considered him to be hubby material. Every day of our relationship, I looked at it as an opportunity for fun. We traveled together and shared our hobbies with each other.
The major problem was that he was emotionally manipulative and vindictive. For example, he would try to make me jealous by flirting with my friends. How do I know this? 1.) Because it was obvious and 2.) He would complain about it to me when it didn't work! And when he was feeling jealous, he would alternate between joking around with me about it so I would think everything was ok, lecturing me about my alleged inability to be monogamous, and "punishing" me for making him jealous by withdrawing affection and making sarcastic remarks. His many sides kept me intrigued because of the challenge of understanding him, but in the long run it was just too emotionally draining to deal with him.
Also, he was king of the double-standard. He would go a day or two without calling me, but when I didn't call him, he would make a big deal out of it. When he went awhile without calling me, I would conveniently stop thinking of him as my boyfriend and accept dinner or coffee dates from guys I knew. He had female friends (which I encouraged), but I couldn't have male friends? That was a big problem for him to understand that if he's out of my sight for long, then he's out of my mind and now I have more free time to spend with someone else. I eventually broke up with him during an argument about me and my "dates." I couldn't take his demanding ways or double-standards anymore.
By the way, he had Leo rising and Scorp moon. A scary combo for a Gemini, because he knew how to use his Leo charm and Gemini wit to carry out Scorpio's dirty work. To complicate things, I also have personal planets in Gemini, Leo, and Scorpio, so I knew exactly what he was doing and why he was doing it AT ALL TIMES. Because he never just came out and told me how he was feeling in a productive way, I would just ignore all of his immature ways of expressing his feelings (sulking, tantrums, sarcasm, etc) and pretend I didn't get the message.
On some level, we got along well because we could relate to each other. We were like mirrors, reflecting each other's traits to different degrees back at one another. The bad thing about mirroring one another is that it can be hard having a relationship with a version of yourself that feels like an evil Twin (pun intended).
My boyfriend is Gemini with a Sag moon and Venus in Cancer. I'm a Sag, so with his moon we share some great traits. However, I really like to go out with him and our friends. We usually separate and I end up talking to people I haven't seen. This always seems to turn him on, but I'm not doing it for that reason. He always comes back to ME. And he's quite consistent. We spend a lot of time in watching movies and cooking, but we're rarely needy for one another. I've read shitty stuff about Sag and Gemini being no good, but I think since we're both pretty independent it works.
On a side note, I hate all the bad reps Geminis get. Three of my best friends are Geminis and two of them are married (to each other.) They're all very faithful and honest in relationships, though often secretive. I think they're more afraid than they ever let on. But they're fun as HELL!
Oh, also... My boyfriend pursued me. He was my editor and we flirted via email. I assumed he was a hobbit but turned out to be quite attractive AND clever. If the guy you were seeing name was Deron then were talking about the same guy. You described him to a T. However, all this guy is interested in is sex. One of the first comments he made was that I was "clean and would be a hot date". The date he was talking about was a hotel. Let's just say he did not get what he wanted. I am a Leo and do not plan on being a notch in a bed post. I wouldhave to date someone for a while and be really interested in him. He has done everything possible to make me jealous and I have told him all it does is push me away. If he goes out of town for work, he does not call and then has the nerve to ask why I did not call him. If he knows something bothers me or upsets me, he will do it on purpose. Hopefully, maybe one day the guy will grow up and be intereste din a real relationship as he is a nice guy, but immature.
The one and only Gemini guy I ever got involved with was the devil incarnate. He tried to make me jealous by talking about his other girlfriends. He talked about me to his guy friends. I was dating a gemini for a few mos. and 1 min he wanted a relationship and the next he wanted to be by himself 1st because he's a gemini 2nd because he just turned 21 and lastly because he had just got out of a long term relationship a few months before. Hmmm not sure if he has a scorpio moon but he's right on the gemini/taurus cusp-not sure if I'm better off ignoring him and pretend like i don't see him or what the whole process should be. I am a gemini woman and if you want to attract any gemini you need to be intelligent and have a good sense of humor so that the conversation can get a little deep but you can laugh it off so it seems more casual. have opinions don't try to hard to get geminis attention to get a gemini into a conversation that shows your interesting and funny then ignore them not to the point that it seems your not interested but leave something for them to think about you later. i always have fallen for men that ultimately kept me guessing and had a great sense of humor.
