Are Geminis the liars of the zodiac? (Where else do we get the term "two-faced"?) Pisces is the sign of deception, but Gemini is ruled by Mercury, the god who invented lying. Gemini is a mutable sign, and can be slippery with words. He is a master mimic, adept at adapting. When I think of Gemini, I think of Sydney Bristow from Alias, the sexy spy who donned eight different costumes each episode. This is an agent who spoke something like 148 languages! Sydney's deceit was always for a purpose, not out of defensiveness. Mercury is rather utilitarian, doing what he has to do to get what he wants. He's not a terribly moral god.Yes, Gemini may not value honesty. His sign is opposite Sagittarius, which can be a little too blunt with the truth. So how do you make a Gemini man tell the truth?
- Pin him down. Make him define the words he uses. ("Sexual relations," for instance, is a famous example.)
- Try to get behind the lie to see what his endgame is. Is he just trying to get away with an affair? Or is his deceit a necessarily evil in his efforts to get intel for the NSA?
- With Aquarius in his solar 9th house, an objective truth guides him ... one that is truly beyond the realm of intimate relationships. Maybe he thinks that a little lie to his lady is nothing, if his deceit benefits humanity.
- Cancer is in Gemini's solar 2nd house. Your Gemini man values home, family and security. Remember Sydney Bristow? Half the time she was lying, it was to protect the ones she loved.

I'm an aquarius who found a picture of another women in a my mans wallet (a gemini). Even with hard evidence I had to be relentless to get the truth out of him. Those geminis are like clams when it comes to their secrets or intentions.
Oh yeah, lying to your face comes easy to them.
That's not all the way true. All of the geminis i've ever known were blunt with the truth as well, and told the truth, but they still had considerably more tact than a sagittarius.
I've recently come to grips with fact that I'm really a true Gemini... while I can't really say that I lie (heck, how can you trust THAT, I just told you I was a Gemini.. hehe) I certainly know that I atleast try to temper the truth so as to not hurt anyone's feelings...

Actually I've learned over time if a Gemini trust you with their life, male or female, they will be very honest with you usually. Female gem's are more honest then males for some reason. Only male gem's are honest with their family more or people they trust like they are family, so good luck to anyone trying to crack a gemini that won't give you the 411 you want on something.
I'm Libra, so I use to love Gemini, and that was thebest time of my life, we thought about the same things and never got bored. But i wanted to get married and have family and he was older then 7 years still thought he is young and dont need to get married, he promised me he would never leave again and the next day he left and left in me pain.

I am a gemimi and the truth is we are NOT lieing. If you realize that they are a child in the inside it will make sense. A child would say opposite things the next minute because that is how they truelly feel. Geminis always look at both ways. This means that Gemini will say I love you I will never ever leave you. But this means that he wishes he loved you and that he had a strong will to never ever leave you. He is not saying that he will actually do it. He is just speaking of how he feels. Because he must live freely. His actions are all according to his own desires no matter what. He will not sacrifice or become dishonest to himself to satisfy his partner's desires. But if you look at it I think its much better than being with someone even though they dislike that person in the inside. In that way Geminis are the most honest people. They will act straightly from how they feel. I rather have a guy leave me if he does not truelly love me because its a waiste of time. If you want Gemini to tell the truth you just have to wait and you will see the truth. But if you become to know you will be able to predict his next action. It is true they do the complete opposite things they have said or committed. We geminis are wondering why themselves so it is very impossible for them to speak what they will actually do. My advise will be to understand that there are 2 people in a gemini. If they say something its just a part of them and then there is another person who pretty much does not care what the other said.
It's just like that.
